Really cool place they make the bird fly over you and talk about them the essentials of what they eat where they are from great species are shown the price is also good 15$ for adult. It was nice to se the birds so close.

Loved this sanctuary! Great friendly staff and volunteers. Spent a fun and educational day getting to know all about the birds of prey. Enjoyed getting to see these beautiful creatures up close. They do wonderful work hete. Don't go to zoos. These are the places we should be supporting.

What great work these people do! We saw a great program with a few birds that they had saved but were unable to release due to injuries. Then we were privileged to be there when they returned 2 birds to the wild. The demonstration lasted over an hour! Unfortunately, it was all in French. However, there are some very informative signs in English about the birds on dog friendly trails.

The theater is very well design. Visibility and acoustics are superior and there is good spacing between rows. Restrooms are wide and clean and staff is polite and helpful. However, one point that made my experience less enjoyable is the fact that they started allowing drinks into the theater, a decision that translates into frequent spills when people put their glasses on the floor. It is very desagreable when your sit is over an sticky or wet floor. When the spilled liquid is beer, then the smell becomes extremely unpleasant during the whole show. I hope they will reconsider this unfortunate decision that significantly reduces the quality of the place, taking it to the level of a cinema theater.

Awesome place for concerts! Brigitte from the ticket box office was professional, friendly and very resourceful. She answered all of our questions for an upcoming concert next year. She is definitely an important asset to the staff of Centre des arts Juliette-Lassonde.

I always stop there on my road bike course. Perfect stop with good food. Excellent sitting view outside overlooking the apple orchard

Nice place and easy access to park your car. You can take the entrance for restaurant or boetiek. We took the boetiek where they had off course a lot of ciders items you can choose. The place looked very spacious and clean with a great variety of items. Small place to taste the cider. In the restaurant we choose a butter nut soup and a sandwich. We choose a rose cider as a drink. Our food was nicely served and reheated. Places to sit with a great view of the fruit garden.

Why did we come here? Some food was great as described in the pictures but my boyfriend got a green wrap that tasted like cigarettes - delicious 😂 My friend also got a sandwich that wasn’t too good :/I am sorry for putting such a bad rating, but I don’t understand how this place has 4.7 stars with almost 800 reviews...

Nice place. Lovely meals. Terrasse outside and places to sit inside. Staff really wanting to help with products. Many choices of home made and prepared products too. Good special on keg of cider. You can sample cider by the glass. Yum. September is a great time of year to go

Beautiful place!! It definitely worth the driving time from Montreal.Employees are always welcoming and have a good disposition to help you. There is a plus for people going with kids since there is a small place with some goats a pony andnother animals that are used to deal with kids and the go close to the fence to be touched. We had some sandwiches and they were really good.Apple juice is a must to buy!! We bought the strawberry apple one to drink in place and we ended up buying extra jars to take home.I tried a slice of apple pie with cream (it came with the sandwich) I guessing that for people with a need of sugar this will make it. I wished to try the regular one but there was none left in slices.Overall, a great place to spend 4- 5 hours with your kids burning energy and experimenting something new.I will definitely go again

I bought a coupon on Tuango for a picnic for 2 and it was awesome. The cider is delicious, the view is beautiful and the staff are super friendly. And the signs for the bathrooms were super cute....I had to think about it for a few seconds 🙃.... you'll have to visit to see! 😜

Outdoor Activities
The Zoo de Granby is a renowned zoological garden in Quebec, boasting over 1,300 animals from 225 exotic species. Visitors can explore trails that lead to different continents and observe elephants, giraffes, gorillas, and tigers. The zoo offers about 20 presentations by zookeepers and educators. Additionally, guests can enjoy thrill rides and an Amazon-themed water park.
We brought my son here for the first time and he loved seeing all the different animals. The lions, rhinos, giraffes and zebras were his favorite and they were all close enough to the edge of their enclosures that we got a fantastic view. Some of the monkeys seemed to be a bit sick but apart from that the animals looked healthy. There was lots to see and all in all it made for a great afternoon trip.
Andrew L — Google review
Price might seem as a little expensive, but if you know that there is a wave pool and tons of free rides, plus 4 continents of exotic animals, it’s pretty incredible that they can keep it at that price! It takes a full day visit. We visited when the wave pool was not open and arrived at noon. We stayed until 5 and were exhausted (mostly because of heat). So if you arrive at the opening at 10am, at a not too hot day, you should plan for a whole day, from opening to the closing. Most of the animals seem healthy and well treated. The little ones will learn so much about the animals they saw on TV or Disney movies! Amazed by the muscleman gorillas, by the shear size of the hippopotamus, and the elephants. The animators of the snake, the gorillas and the elephants were super fun for the kids and full of knowledge and they are passionate of sharing their knowledge too!My son and I had a blast with Lego animal constructions!

Good time with kids. I would recommend you go a week day if you can place was PACKED! And if your not from Montreal plan a hotel and take the two day pass you won’t have time in just 1 day to see everything! I Bought my tickets online so i just walked in no line up

Me and my family had a great time. The staff was great. Loved that they had different types of animals from all around the world. The rides are more on the smaller side, but they are good. The water park is great, and my family and I really enjoyed it.

This is a fun zoo outside of Montreal. It’s not too big so it’s great for younger kids.Several of the buildings are not stroller friendly. Most of the Door openers don’t work so you’re awkwardly holding the firing trying to get a stroller in. The cafeteria doesn’t have a stroller or wheel chair entrance. The nursing room in the cafeteria was also disgusting. Covered in toilet paper And it smelled like someone had peed all over it. There is also only one in the entire zoo.
Sam F — Google review
My family & I really enjoyed the zoo! My toddler was so excited to see all the animals. He really enjoyed it. Lots of space to walk around & enjoy the outdoor setting. Tickets are affordable. Kafiteria food was ok, but I would recommend bringing your own lunch.

Je recommande une visite!(Translated by Google)We went to the Granby Zoo on 2024-07-01 (Canada Day holiday). We arrived just before opening following a recommendation, and fortunately we followed it, as it would have been difficult for parking. We purchased our ticket in advance and it made it really easy to enter the park. We really enjoyed our experience, we had time to visit all the habitats with a child under 2 years old. It was possible to bring your own lunch, which is ideal. The park is very large, so even if there are a lot of people, there are ways to have quieter moments along the way. The zoo was very clean and the animals looked good. I didn't go on the rides and I didn't go to the water park. I recommend a visit!

A well-organized layout that made navigating the park a breeze. The diversity of animals is truly impressive, making it feel like a world tour of wildlife. The zoo is clean, well-maintained - lacks significantly in the food department. Food from the cafeteria was very obviously old, cold and crusty. The cafeteria was empty, which is why it seemed most people brought their own lunch. Pricing was outdated on the digital menu (cashier confirmed it's frequently wrong?) .We also took advantage of the water park on site, which was the perfect way to cool down and added an extra layer of fun to our day.Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or even solo, you're guaranteed to have a memorable and enriching experience. DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!

Fabulous place for kids and and adults. Beautiful and healthy looking animals. Lots of water pools. Getting food can be a bummer due to long lineups. Big enough to spend 4-5 hours without going in the pool. Highly recommended!

Buy tickets in advance to save money, we went on Canada Day twice now and enjoyed all the animals and attractions possible. The Wave pool was way too cold to enjoy personally, but it's still fun if you are brave enough. My 2 boys under 5 had a blast. A yearly tradition has been born.Rental strollers and wagons are available at a reasonable cost.

We had a great time we started with zoo and the rest on the next weekend as we cannot finish all on the same day. It's a bit expensive but if you are planning to go more than 1 time.... then I recommend you to take the summer pass and visit as many times as you want.
Nadia Q — Google review
First of all if you don't arrive at the parking lot at 10am you may waste an hour waiting to park which is inconvenient, the right turn on red at several intersections here should be eliminated! It is recommended to stay here for two days, one day to see the animals and one day in the water park, there are many types of animals also you can interact with the animals, for example, spend $3 to feed the parrots. The water park has several programs that are very exciting, especially the barrel slides. The rafting program is very suitable for parents and children to experience, smaller children need to wear life jackets. The bumper cars and carousel at the playground are especially popular with children.
Kevin L — Google review
We have been a few times already and this time the animals were more active than usual which was great. The experience, attractions and atmosphere are all really good. Don't miss feeding the birds early or petting the manatees, both at the Oceana section. The bathrooms and facilities were pretty clean and easily accessible no matter where you are.My only "complaint" is that the price has risen by 20$ per person since the last time we came 2 years ago so that shocked us a bit but the exhibits and the work they do at Granby would justify it somewhat. They have a new area in the Asia section under construction so we are looking forward to that next year.

Great place for a family fun activity! This year we visited the zoo with my 7yo daughter and two teens nephews. We had tons of fun. I would recommend to go to the zoo first while animals are active ... and then water park and amusement park.
Amanda V — Google review
Incredible nice place for kids and grownups. We liked the layout of different areas with animals based of their location they lived. The playground and pools are very well designed. You need more than 1 visit to see and enjoy all the options.

I had very good time at Granby zoo. It’s a huge zoo full of nice animals and has a lot of activities to do as well. It’s perfect for families with kids or adults who like to see animals and go to the water park after and enjoy the water. There’s food area too so when you’re hungry or thirsty. The nice thing is that you can bring your own food and drinks too if you don’t wanna buy from there and you can refill the water in some spots. recommend 👍🏻👍🏻🥰
Jamal S — Google review
The Zoo is simply amazing!Different zones for kids to see how animals live in other countries.Make sure to have a stroller if you have small kid, because who experience might take you 4-5 hours if you want to see every little piece.Good food court available. Food was greatest but enough to get fed. Bring your own.Prices are very good compared to other activities for a family of 4.Also make sure to plan out the weather if you want to have good experience as some animals are hiding if too cold or sleeping if too hot.
Andrey A — Google review
Fantastic zoo to visit... We went there about ten years ago and loved it. At the time we spent part of the day in the zoo and part of it in the water park. We decided to return and take our visiting relatives along, and despite the hot weather, we truly enjoyed the visit. Some of the animals were too hot and hiding, however we go close and personal with the Siberian Tiger and other animals. One particular experience was being able to touch and caress the stingrays, riding the camel and horse and pony (kids). The layout and map were not easy to read, but generally speaking, the flow is easy and will allow you to see the various sections of the zoo. You can bring your own food and I suggest bringing along a rolling cart (or you can rent one there for about $13). There are restaurants everywhere and ice cream shops as well. The staff is fantastic and very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this zoo for a family outing or visit.

I’ve been to a couple zoos in China and then I went to Granby “zoo”… this was a joke… most areas with the larger animals would have one or max 2 animals that usually didn’t have any energy and were far away. There were only two positive things I could think of. One it was not crowded but there wasn’t much to see anyways. Two the kids enjoyed staying in the water areas more than seeing the animals. I later brought them to a real water park to have more fun. Save your time money and energy from going here and choose another activity.
Justin C — Google review
Went to this place with family and do recommend as a great family friendly activity, with loads of animals, long walks and activities for kids. Beware of the expensive admission fee though. They have some XL sized Ginger Tabby cats and a ride that takes you through the good portion of the zoo.
Mugdho A — Google review
I like the concepts of having so many things to do in one location. I also think the animals should have more space. If they took away the rides and water park, the animals would be able to have bigger enclosures. It's a zoo and I only went because it was my job. Many zoos have animals that don't do much. Sleep mostly. Granby is the same.Tip: Go early so you can do all the activities and bring lunch. Everything was closed.

Plan to visit on weekdays and worth trying the Waterpark for some high school level fun in lazy river, wave pools and slides. Try the Africa zoo first. Animals are sedated so can't expect much movements but worth a visit if in Montreal.

Granny Zoo is our favorite zoo, the zoo has four villages most recommended are African and Australian and the train ride also recommended.Recommend to get the zoo map at the front door or from any kiosk .Also you save by get the zoo bracelet for your little one will get 10$ credits and free cotton candy All those details can be found in their website specially now the zoo offer 20$off for adult ticket.Hope the park separate between zoo ticket and water parks so get the zoo. Ticket with less price ( not all enter the park have time to do three visit in same day specially we are not taking about annuel passes)ALSO the stuff are very very kind ,like their smell and assistance even their effort to speak English even some of them didn’t know but they try the max to assist us ( appreciate it) ALSO I like how next to any place there is sink to wash you hand

Amazing weekend close the animals😊The lions, elephants, zebra, rhinos.I love it and my kid tooThe place is pretty clean and well maintainedThe part I dislike was the fact that the food offers in the park are mostly sweet and fast food, I think the choice is very limitedI truly advise you to bring your own sandwiches and drinksThe set up to visit is pretty well done so you experience the most out of itRecommendation approved ✅

Visited Granby Zoo last Saturday and despite the crowds, we were pleasantly surprised to find no waiting times. Once inside, the expansive size of the zoo made it feel uncrowded. The variety of activities available was impressive, with the standout being the captivating shows featuring different animals presented by the zookeepers. However, there was a slight letdown as a significant number of animals seemed to be asleep and unengaged with visitors, almost as if they were completely hidden from view. Nevertheless, the zoo proved to be an excellent family outing that I wholeheartedly recommend. The food court was efficiently organized, and the pricing appeared reasonable.Arriving around 10:45 am, I was able to secure a convenient spot in the P1 parking area, which is in close proximity to the main entrance. Additionally, purchasing tickets online in advance streamlined the entry process.

So for a first timer , we heard so many great things about Granby Zoo, and ended up dissapointed in it to say the least. First of all for a family of 4 (youngest is 2 years old) 97 CAD is a lot !!! And an extra 13 CAD to rent the stroller which is in the gift shop (a 1o min walk from the entrance ), and believe me if you have young kids you will need a stroller or carrier because it is a huge place (took us 4 hours and we didnt even visit it all) . Also bring finger food and snacks along, if you are visiting soon, coz only one restaurant was open and his options were limited to fast food.On the good side ,we got to see lots of animals , they have a paper map you can get on the entrance to help you navigate your way, it had a big variety of animals...But if you have sensitive nose , some places are extra smelly 😷 so be careful

The Zoo de Granby is a fantastic zoo. There is a decent amount of animals, with most of them being far more iconic than zoos of a larger size, which helps to higher rate their overall display. Plus the staff are bilingual, which helps as an Anglophone! If you decide to come here, make sure to buy tickets two days prior - it'll save you $20 per admission. Overall, it made for a wonderful rainy day in Quebec.
Jack R — Google review
I went to the Granby Zoo recently for 2 days and I really enjoyed it. We also took the night tour and saw the big cats and other predators. I recommend getting the night tour and going to the zoo for more than one day’s. The zoo is big and there is a water park at the end.
Faizan R — Google review
My favorite zoo, super well done for family with young kids, also has waterpark and rides. My only complaint is it's pricey (ticket from 3+ years old) and the park opens only from 10am to 7pm in summer. It's impossible to do everything in one day and parking is not big enough to accommodate on busy weekends. We arrived after lining up for a while in cars to learn that parking is full and have to go elsewhere!!!

The zoo was pretty packed and with the ongoing strike, some services were unavailable. It was still however a good day out. The alternative parking lot was confusing as the entrance to the parking lot was difficult to find. A dozen or so cars played follow the leader, turning around several times until we found the correct route.

We visited Le musée du chocolat mainly to purchase chocolates as a gift. The store has a wide selection of gourmet chocolates as well as different less expensive chocolates. There is also a large choice of candy and jams that can be offered as gifts. There is also a section in the store that is a chocolate museum. In the back of the store there is also a restaurant, I have yet tried it but I will definitely try it out eventually. So if you’re looking to purchase an assortment of chocolates for yourself or as a gift, this is the place.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié qu’ils l’ont fait avec bienveillance et sans chialer aucunement!La nourriture était aussi vraiment bonne!Je recommande fortement ce lieu(Translated by Google)Excellent service: I ordered a gourmet crepe but I didn't pay attention to the fact that it contained meat (it was written on the menu) but I couldn't eat it (it's not enough to remove it because I can't even eat it contaminated with meat)The staff was very understanding and made me the crepe again without meat even though it was my mistake! Fabulous breakfast --awesome fruit display on each plate. I enjoyed the egg bagel that came with tons and tons of fruit. Delicious -- not too pricey. Don't be fooled -- the museum is one thing -- the cafe and patio at the back is worth a visit!

Nice lil chocolate shop and museum in a cute small town. If it's made of chocolate, you'll find it here! The speculoos chocolates were our favourite!

Chocking hazard and poor presentation technique on plate! This is one of their waffle plates on their menu. When it first comes out, it look okay but when you cut in to take a biteful, there's so many fruits with their peels on them (pineapple, watermelon, kiwi, oranges) hidden underneith that it just makes the whole plate unplaisant. I really wanna to like this on the first try! Spoke up to their waiting staff, who are super profesionnal, and they made the comment to the kitchen. The walls are thin, and we heard what the kitchen said. So this gets 3 stars for: 1 for location, 1 for professional waiting staff, and 1 more for the little quaint museum on the side. In recommendating this place, I would tell anyone ask for the chocoloate on the side for all plates that come with chocolate. Not going back to eat there.

Love this place. It was my first season pass and second time snowboarding ever. The slopes have a good diversity of complexity from bunny slopes, to green, blue, diamond and double black diamond. There is an insane amount you can do and see here... Numerous bars and cafes to hangout at and the slopes are variable. The view from the top is incredible.Sometimes the lines can get insanely long at night and on weekends. I have waited 30mins to get on a lift a few times... But honestly it is worth the wait.

Went back … nearly 30 years after my last visit. It was my goto place at the beginning of the 90’s for mountain biking.A bit expensive if you don’t bring your bike and you don’t have a subscription. However, it is worth every penny even if you have to rent a bike (they are quite good btw).Notes: There are a ton of trails of many level. Be aware that the green trails are not as easy as they seem. The same logic apply to the other levels.Like the old days, doing 4 to 6 descents per day is propably the maximum if you want play safe.

There are many trails to choose from on the snowy slopes, and there's a restaurant at the summit for a great rest. It's an excellent ski resort, and there are plenty of staff on-site to ask for recommendations on the slopes for the day. 👍👍

Bromont’s winter beauty is the perfect place to enjoy a ski day with friends and family. Themountain contains many trails suitable from beginners to experts. When you are at the peak of the ski mountain, the view is simply mesmerizing, especially during a sunny winter afternoon. The peak also has a resto/café to keep you warm while you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee or their soup of the day while you get to enjoy yhe view.

What an amazing place! I went there for the first time for snowshoeing, amazing views, breathtaking trails haha. I really recommend this place for a happy sunny day.

Amazing views. Many options for slopes (only half was open). The line for the lift wasn't too long (went on a Monday afternoon). The snow condition was great.
Nghi P — Google review
Great mountain with lots of runs of various difficulty levels. Including several spots with jumps and parks. Runs are well groomed and most are lit up at night if you want to ride all day. There's a cafe at the top of the mountain if you need to warm up.

Bromont ski resort features some top of the line ski lifts along a brand new top of the mountain ski lodge. It is part of the Appalachian Range and easily accessible by car from Montreal or Boston. The mountain has great after ski entertainment and most runs are equipped for night skiing. Bromont also boosts one of the largest ski school in Canada. Initially an equestrian destination, Bromont has become a four season resort accessible to all without pricing out young adults or new skiers. In the summer mountain biking and golf attracts thousands and if someone in the party doesn’t want to ride or play golf, they can opt for a treat at Balnea Spa! Some say Bromont lacks logging but in reality many skiers choose to rent condos or simply drive back to Montreal.

Nice ski slope, but crowded. We arrived on Sunday and skied on Monday. The Sun was extremely crowded. The Mon was a 1/2 hour wait for the 9am lift. The snow was deep, well groomed and very nice. They had lift loading attendants so the lift lines were not chaotic and elbowing. There is a lot of housing as condo rentals or hotels, so it is a nice destination slope. I recommend it.
Steve L — Google review
Had a great ski experience here even though all runs were not open. It was really the first day of skiing for me. Got in around 27km of skiing over 22 runs. Also did the night skiing here. That was top notch.
Jules S — Google review
Probably the best mountain that is in close proximity of montreal. There are many trails for all skill levels, and conditions are fairly well maintained. The facilities are also pretty good, there a chalet at the more popular chairlifts, where you can warm up with a quick bite and some hot cocoa or coffee. At the main chalet there is a bar sit down restaurant where you can relax between ski sessions. The staff are relatively friendly and ski patrol is very attentive for everyone safety. My only complaint is the ski lift by P5 connecting the main mountain and P5, there always seems to be issues causing it to stop. Other then that it’s a great place to ski or snowboard.
Bryan K — Google review
First day of the season - great to get back on the slopes! Operating runs and lifts was limited, but their website did a good job explaining that, and they had extra staff out to assist people with collecting passes / rentals / etc. Cafeteria was quick, food was reasonably priced
Paul J — Google review
Great place to learn skiing. The beginner slopes are a good place to start, not too easy, but also not too difficult. You don't need a pass to access the beginner slopes, which is great, but there could be a long waiting line at the magic carpet. Had a lot of fun here!
Sivasankar N — Google review
Awesome! Definitely my favorite ski station near Montreal. Staff is friendly, the snow is good, the chairlifts are “comfortable” and the pass is not that expensive ! Consider buying the Pass-Partout card that allows you to have -30% on your day ticket !

The staff works really hard to keep the snow on the mountain at its best conditions. New lifts, new restaurants, it’s been expanding and improving year over year. Excellent place to go skiing. The professors for the ski lessons are really good. My kids learned really well with you. Definitely recommend this place!
J — Google review
Great mountain even though there wasn’t all the runs open. The chalet for food and coffee at the top of the mountain was fantastic, the views were very nice. The only negative was the chairlifts broke down a lot. Overall great experience and our family will be returning for sure.

Ski Bromont season opening on Dec 2nd. During my visit on December 8 at 3:30 pm the parking was almost full I was going to change my mind but finally decided to go. Only a few of the slopes are open, need for some snow to come down from Mother Nature, even though the owners of the mountain bought a bunch of new snow canons, still will take some time and the rain does not help. Anyhow the slopes that were open were quite nice, icy in some areas but had a good time. Ski Bromont does a great job at maintaining their slopes throughout the ski season. Also I must say, the staff at the mountain are always very nice and professional, keep up the good work .

Mountainous park with lakes & cascades, home to migratory birds as well as biking & walking routes.
The Eastern Townships are full of beautiful scenery, and this rustic spot—with its two lakes, two ponds and many kilometers of trails—is no exception. Trails range from 2.4 km to nearly 14 km, and they’re full of some of the best wild beauty the region has to offer that includes a waterfall, breathtaking summit views and—Canada, eh?—lots and lots of maple trees.Drive time from Montreal: 2 hours

Really nice place for hiking with a rewarding view on the top! We did the Round Top trail and it was beautiful! Peaceful walk in the forest and the view on top is breathtaking. On beautiful days you can see all the mountains across the border! The hike itself isn’t difficult, but definitely bring good hiking gear and especially good hiking shoes since it tends to get muddy and slippery at multiple places.

This park is beautiful. I recommend you use the available tracks. I had the chance to see more than five viewpoints on my way, and the majority of them were beautiful. I do recommend this park. However, it is better to have hiking equipment, including a proper tracking boot and a good backpack.

Hiked in early June on a 10-12 km trail. The trails are decently maintained and clearly marked. Some view points offer really great view. It was super windy and quiet. Spruce Lake in the evening was a sight to behold, with it's splashing beavers, calm waters and beautiful view. Definitely would try to hit to check out some other trails.

Great hiking trails and beautiful viewpoints along the lake Sutton and round top. Make sure you bring at least a litre of water on a hot day. It takes about 3-4 hours to do the 8.4km hike.

nice hike, hard work being done to maintain the trail, this fall the colors have changed a bit earlier than the last couple of years, mid October there is not much leaves left, moderate intensity hike, loop trail well marked but to save a km of distance many people adopt to take the trail in the opposite direction against the prohibition signs.

Great hill for skiing or snowboarding. The runs are fairly narrow and in the trees so it feels like your are in the woods. Also a great part of the hill is the lines are not very long to get onto the lift. Especially the side lifts that aren’t at the mail entrance. Worth the trip and very affordable.

My first visit to M’ont Sutton. Came from Toronto to enjoy the fall view. It was mesmerizing. Enjoyed the chairlift ride and all the staffs were so helpful. We even got a glimpse of the rainbow after a short rain. All the toilets were in good condition. But there were no changing tables for kids.

Very nice mountain with great views, I really enjoyed my time skiing there! I find that some of the runs are slightly more narrow than in other places, with more trees, which feels more "natur-ey".Lots of great skiing/snowboarding trails, but if it's your first time skiing, I would suggest going to a different hill (there aren't that many green trails!)Definitely plan to get there ahead of time (lack of parking and wait time to get your ticket!)

Great and not super busy!We went at the end of March for some spring skiing and had a day of mud and rain and then a day of fresh powder that quickly turned to slush but it was wonderful! The hill has tons of potential and it’s decently spread out so you can easily avoid other people. The lifts are a little old but all the staff are friendly and they even encouraged us to do another run 3 minutes before the lift closed. There is parking about halfway up the mountain which is great if you don’t want to start at the base. There’s also a nice chalet with a great little 2nd floor patio. The lift tickets and rentals were pretty reasonable especially when compared to tremblant or other more mainstream resorts.Great spot!

Good place to see fall colors. Has activities for all ages. Went up the hill via chair lift and it was fun. Only issue was that the restaurant on top of the hill was closed and was not updated properly in Google maps.

Hidden gem. Great glades. No major hotels but lots of small places to stay close by. Good little town nearby. Great option to save some money compared to Tremblant two hours closer (from the west) than St. Anne or Le Massif and a short hop across the border to Jay Peak, VT.

It's so beautiful here. We did the Tyrolienne à virages in another words "roller-coaster in the sky." It is so much fun! We had the 10 am start. When booking they mentioned we have to arrive 1 hour earlier. The woman at the desk informed us that even though it states that, the guides only get there close to 10, and we had to wait. Instead of waiting inside, she suggested we go for a hike to "la marmite au sorcières " trail, and we did. I'm glad we went because the trail crossed a nice river going down rocks, which was beautiful. Really nice place to hike and bike.

We just spent 5 days at Mount Sutton. First time visit and totally lucked out - fresh snow the night we arrived and it was still coming down on day 1 so we had a powder day! Day 2 we went on an ambassador tour to explore the whole mountain. Alain was so nice and patient with us and we toured with him for 2 half days and got to see the many challenging trails we would not have seen otherwise. He shared with us many anecdotes and history of the mountain and the town of Sutton, which made our trip so memorable. We enjoyed practicing our French and soaking up the French Canadian culture. It’s a no frill community oriented ski resort, very laid back. The rental shop is well stocked and organized, the equipments r in great shape. Most of the staff are friendly and highly professional. We’ll definitely be back.

We came for the zip lining and did both the giant and the roller coaster, with lunch at the food truck between. All of the technicians and everyone involved were friendly, reassuring and clear in their instructions in both English and French. The gear was strong and secure. Each of the 2 ziplines was exciting in it's own way. The giant for its length because the first section is a whole kilometer long, so that first step off the platform seems incredible. Second section is 400 meters, which seems easy at that point. The roller coaster that we did in the afternoon is the only one of its kind in North America. The day was pretty pricey, but considering all of the people and gear that's involved, it's kind of understandable.

A charming, old fashioned ski hill with some challenging runs, some easy runs and lots of Glades. We had excellent snow conditions when we went last week. The staff were friendly and we were shown around the mountain by Lynn and Linda, the local snow hosts, or E ambassadors. These women were great, funny and knowledgeable. They showed us both sides of the mountain, through some glades and acquainted us with the mountain. 5 stars to Lynn and Linda! We had a great time at Sutton.

This huge mountain is beautiful. It has over 60 trails, even though they’re not always all open, fair food/snack prices in the chalet, and awesome views from the top. I’ve gone three times in January and the snow powder has been good too. The only downside is that it lacks of green lines, the family zone is small with just two slopes and it is a fairly challenging mountain, making it for people with no experience with ski/snowboard, not the ideal place to learn.
Eduardo A — Google review
We went up in the summer for a quick lunch and chairlift ride.Food at the kiosk was okay, but pretty basic. Chairlift ride was fun with great views from the top. Awesome experience and totally worth it for us tourists! If you are in the area I would definitely recommend it as part of your todo list.
Scott A — Google review
First time here but it won't be the last. The conditions of the mountain was far exceeding our expectations considering what the 2024 season has wrought. You can tell they really take care of their runs with lots of snow guns that I can only assume run all night. There is no night skiing. Once the fog had lifted we headed to the highest point where all the blacks and double plus blacks are and we could see that the terrain would provide great fun and challenges. Lots of glade runs will be attempted next year (hopefully) but this year we mostly stayed on piste due to the icey hard pack off piste. All that said, it has a small mountain feel with great runs, at a good price, with people who care more about hitting the slopes and providing a good time. Also, there's a terrific Churro truck as you leave and the smell of FRESH churros will definitely capture you as you head to your car.

Despite the mild winter the ski conditions have been outstanding thanks to a very dedicated grooming team. Mother Nature has not been kind to folks that love winter but Mont Sutton has made it possible to enjoy skiing on plenty of well groomed runs. BRAVO!

*update as they have replied:Let me be clear, your staff wearing safety vests stopped me at the entry of the parking lot, asked me if I had already bought a lift ticket, when i said no they said the mountain was full and to turn my car around.I appreciate the reply but I was already well aware there are other places to park.Original review below:Went here on feb17 and got there at 11am and was told by staff before i got to the parking lot that unless i bought a ticket the day before i could not go because the mountain was full. The parking lot was visibly overfilled and i would not have minded parking further down and walk there but this is the first time of my life im told an actual ski hill is full.. especially at 11am.So i had to leave, I drove to bromont 30mins away to still be able to ride and not waste a full day off.

Me and my family traveled from Ontario and visited Château Ste-Agnès in August and October 2022 and were amazed by this unique place. It is a boutique winery with a fairytale castle and a chapel in a really stunning location surrounded by mountains. We did the tasting of the 4 wines (all were good) and had a guided tour with very knowledgeable staff. It is well worth the fees as you learn a lot about the local wines and get so much info about this place. It feels like you are somewhere in Europe and not in North America. I would gladly visit again and highly recommend it to others. It is a jewel in the beautiful Eastern Townships area and cannot be missed. Big Thank You for an awesome experience. I wish the team of Ste-Agnès the best of luck in the new year!

The views of the beautiful mountains were so worth it! I went to Château Ste-Agnes with 5 other foodie friends for an experience like no other and we were not disappointed! Chef Isabel created a multi course meal served family style, emphasizing local and sustainable ingredients only - what more can you ask? Paired perfectly alongside wines from the estate (which are also available onsite), this venue provides guests everything they need in one perfect spot: great service & tasty food coupled together as if made just right.

An absolutely beautiful estate! We stumbled upon it while visiting the area and are so glad we did. We bought a bottle of the white wine and it was good. Mineraly and best enjoyed slightly warm. They had no issue with us bringing our dog on the terrace, which was a bonus! We got there at 1PMTo find out all of the snack boxes were reserved for the day, but they did have crackers available. Definitely recommend stopping if you are in the area!Instead of an entry fee it would be interesting if the winery waived the fee if you spent a certain amount in their boutique (I.e spend $50 and you don’t have to pay the entry fee or something)

We got married at Château Ste Agnes September 23rd and it was a real dream come true. We first heard about this vineyard a year ago from a family member who had gone for a wine tasting experience. Needless to say, we were instantly blown away by the property. The vineyard is set in a picturesque location. Its breathtaking views of mountains and authentic architecture instantly transport you to a charming tuscan villa. It was the ideal backdrop for a romantic wedding. The process was very pleasant from start to finish. Steffany, the owner, was with us every step of the way. She allowed us to visit the property multiple times and was very accommodating to our various suppliers. She was always very responsive and warm in our interactions, which alleviated a lot of the stress. Thank you to Steffany and the entire team for being an integral part of our special day and for helping us create a magical fairytale wedding. It was everything we could have ever imagined. We would gladly recommend Château Ste Agnes to any engaged couples looking for the perfect venue. It's an ideal place for romantic getaways, special occasions, or simply enjoying a relaxing day in a serene setting. We will definitely be back to celebrate in the future!.

The architecture, the magnificent views, the overall experience is like no other. There is truly something magical about this place and I will forever cherish it as the place where I tied the knot with my husband. We booked the Chapel for our ceremony and it was absolutely perfect for our small party. We then took our photos on the estate and we could not be happier with how the pictures turned out with the beautiful vineyard as our backdrop. The vineyard is a hidden gem that I am so thankful to have discovered.Thank you to the entire team who made our dream wedding come true.

Each wine had its own qualities and flavors. Post tour, we enjoyed a lovely picnic by the lake. Our picnic prepped by A la Table By Hannah. The new owners are amazing and have great way of connecting with their guest to give you a wonderful experience. We went for the farm to vine event. We did a historic tour of the place, you could see how much detail has gone into building this beautiful chateau. Gives you that Mix of Tuscany and lake Como vibes. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful experience.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.We recently got married at the Chateau St-Agnes in August 2023. The place itself is absolutely breathtaking. When the new owners purchased the winery in 2022, we were excited to book our wedding day the following year. Luckily for us, there was only one place left for the following summer. We were ecstatic ! There are two types of packages for weddings, you can either book as inclusive or non inclusive for your wedding day. Non Inclusive package, means that if you book your wedding for example on a Saturday, as we did, you have access to the site as of 5pm that day and must leave and clear everything for the reception hall by 8 am the following day.If however, you book the inclusive package you may access the site as of 8 am on Saturday and there are no outside visitors allowed on site. We decided to opt for the non-inclusive option considering the big price difference and the fact that we celebrated the ceremony at the church at 3pm and would be heading to the cocktail hour around 5pm at the Chateau anyway. In terms of price, make sure to get all your savings out ! It is quiet pricey. We also learned that prices have increased by 5k for next year. Yikes ! If you book the entire site for your wedding, you will pay 20K ! Bear in mind that you are ONLY renting the site for that cost, so nothing else in included. You must rent dishes, napkins, hire a caterer, buy your own alcohol, the list goes on and becomes very costly. Bottom line, the only items that can be used at the chateau are the chairs and tables. We shortly found out that the new owners were only interested in money. I can understand that if you run a business you have bills to pay, however the requests that we made were very minimal and we received ZERO help from the owners. Our wedding planner asked us if it would be possible to have the napkins and dishes delivered on Friday so that this would allow her sufficient time to get set up on Saturday morning. We asked the owners if that were a possibility to have those items dropped off at the Chateau on Friday before the wedding. Their response: You can book the Chateau inclusively on Friday as well if you want to delivery your items on Friday. That would mean incurring another 10K to deliver dishes and napkins on Friday. I mean... I will leave it that but you get the idea. right ?When we first booked the Chateau during our visit in August 2022 with the owners, we inquired about using the wood fire pit to bake some pizzas as appetizers for our guests during the cocktail hour. They mentioned to us that it would be possible and that it does not get used enough so that it would be a great idea for us to use it ! Excellent - we were excited! Our caterers required that the wood fire pit be started around 4pm so as to allow sufficient time for oven to be hot enough to bake the pizzas for around 5pm. We confirmed with the owners what our caterers told us and they said no problem. Skip to the Friday prior to our wedding, we went on site to bring several items and ran into the owners. We made sure to reconfirm with them that the wood fire pit would be all set for Saturday. Alex, one of the co-owners confirmed to us that all was good. Fast forward to Saturday, 2pm. It rained in the morning, so the wood that was supposed to go in the fire pit was wet. Alex, told our wedding planner that it would not be used and he doesn't not know how to start the fire pit. We were shocked. Here we are at 2 pm right before our wedding ceremony at 3pm, having to run to the village to buy dry wood and race back to the Chateau. Our caterers explicitly told us that the fire pit had to be all set up for their arrival. How disappointing to have to deal with this on your own wedding day.WARNING all future brides and grooms, get ready to do all of the work yourself for your wedding (even with the help of a wedding planner) and not be helped by any way by the owners as explained in our examples above. It is unfortunate that the client service is not up to part to the beauty of this place.

The most beautiful winery in Quebec, Canada ! It feels like your in an Italian winery with great wines and breathtaking views. Their fortified wine is DELICIOUS and their Late Harvest Wine is a must-taste (perfect gift idea too). Don't forget to stop by their little boutique with charming basket, throws and local products. If you have the chance to grab a picnic box too, you won't regret it either. Cheers !

We had a dream wedding, thanks in large part to the amazing venue at Château St Agnès. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking scenery and the elegant charm of the château. Renting both houses on the property was a fantastic decision, as they were absolutely fabulous and allowed us to spend quality time with our family before and after the wedding. The accommodations were luxurious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The overall experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The owners and staff went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and warm hospitality made us feel truly cared for throughout the entire event. Everything, from the planning stages to the day-of coordination, was handled with the utmost care and efficiency. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to make our wedding dreams come true. Château St Agnès is a magical place, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning location and exceptional service for their wedding or any special event.Thank you, Steffany, Alex, and Frederique for making our wedding an unforgettable experience!

This was a birthday gift from my partner and a first time here. While there were a lot of good aspects to it, I think there's a few key areas where it falls short.SERVICE:There was a single person working the reception area and a line up of people waiting to be addressed. The server seemed to have no sense of urgency while a growing line of people formed to be assisted. We waited about 10 minutes just to ask a single question about the tasting and charcuterie experience. Not sure why there was such little staffing available to assist but the first impression so far wasn't the best. The tour was nice and interactive and the owner did a great job of showcasing the main parts of the wine making process. Though, the cellars looked like they only held a few hundred bottles in total and felt less like a traditional cellar and seemed to have bottles only decoratively placed around the area with many rooms in the cellar barren.WINE TASTING & FOOD:Once we received our wines, charcuterie and blanket we found a little spot but were consistently interrupted by staff driving past to set up spaces around the grounds which was irritating to keep moving around without being able to enjoy our food or drinks. The wines were good and a nice variety and holders available as part of the basket. The food , however, was a sad medley of cheese, meats, berries and nuts packaged in a small container. There was enough food that could placed entirely in a single palm of your hand and limited variety.GROUNDS:The space is beautifully arranged with a rich history albeit somewhat small for a vineyard with stunning architecture and building but nearly all of them are locked down or unavailable unless you've paid for a tour or reserved an event space. There were several instances mid tour where curious people were stopped from entering or participating as they hadn't paid for a tour. Overall, a decent space but without a tour, a very short-lived experience. Important to note, there were no air conditioned or indoor leisure spaces to enjoy your drink as all indoor spaces were dedicated for paid tours or private events. While the weather was good that day, it's important to note this as I wouldn't know where you could find shelter if it rained.SUMMARY:Overall, I'm very grateful to my partner that she got such a creative birthday gift but after a few hours we both agreed this wasn't an ideal experience and given the sheer numbers of alternatives there are in the neighbouring area, we will not be coming back. Good to try but a somewhat constrained and limited experience unless you buy the full package.

The ciders and wine were great, the lady serving us was warm and friendly, and the outdoor seating next to the vines was picturesque and peaceful. Prices were very reasonable for such good, local products. Pay an extra $5 and you get to taste at their partner winery across the atreet. Deal! Thanks!

UNION LIBRE Cidre & Vin is a great place to stop for a sample of great ciders and wines. Eric, the owner, was very polite and helpful. I bought two very good cider aperitifs! The Cider Aperitif is fantastic! Made from a fire cider fortified with apple brandy. Complex and authentic, it offers a nose of ripe apples that evolves into hints of honey and candied fruit.Stop by and give them a try!
Kevin G — Google review
While we enjoyed the wines, they were served warm and in plastic glasses in a 4 choice "flight" for $12. We selected a white, a rosée and 2 aperitif wines. I wish they had been chilled. I have visited many wineries in the area and felt the service was less than I had hoped for. We made our selection and were asked to go outside where they would bring it to us. We both felt that this was not the usual tasting experience but the wines would have been better chilled.

Ciders were absolutely delicious, which says a lot considering I'm not a huge cider fan. It was pretty busy when we were there but the owner really took his time to explain their approach/process. Going to be buying a case!

Beautiful winery with lovely scenery. Their wines never disappoint and the restaurant has a wonderful menu. Everything is good. The terrasse is beautiful, especially when the vines start growing in. A must try for anyone that is a wine lover.

Holy amazing. Best wines we've tasted in QC and VT by far. Their brut is equivalent to Schramsberg in Napa Valley, CA. Both chardonnays were incredible. Likewise for their rose (still) and frissant. We are definitely going back since it's so close to VT, just 5 miles over the border from the West Berkshire crossing!

First time experiencing wineries in the province of Québec and we choose this one as our number one winery to try first . It did not disappoint. Our tasting was done by a very knowledgeable and personable lady by the name of Lucie Bilodeau. Bilingual as well which helped with my anglophone husband. What we found fascinating on how they kept their vines from freezing in the harsh Québec wintersThe wines are of high calibres. Well done! Totally worth a visit!

We are from Timmins Ontario. We came here for a visit and our son told us about this place. Wow beautiful country there wine and food are top of the line. I must say that this place is very comparable to Niagara on the lake but on a smaller scale.Impeccable food and service. Would definitely go back and I highly suggest it to others.

Wine tasting explanation is less friendly than other wineries we’ve tried. I think because they are a bit lack of staff, so the place was a bit busy. It looks like they just finished doing renovation and seems like a good upgrade. The view and the room here is amazing.

Beautiful winery! They redesigned the customer experience (due to Covid19), with large information boards about the process of how they make wine and the history of L'Orpailleur. I learned a lot about the techniques and the challenges they face year around. No wine tasting obviously, but a warm welcome and the staff can still answer your questions. If in area, don't miss it!

We stopped in while visiting family. It's a really nice looking place. Interesting local history pictures & stories inside on the walls. We learned some things. We did not try the wines as we had to get going. Maybe another time.

Did a tour for $10 per person, you get a wine glass and three "degustations" that they choose (the blanc, the rose, and the part d'ange), and a visit around the vineyard and a look at the machines. Was guided by Pierre, who was very informative and friendly. Also tasted the ice wine (one degustation for $2), which is definitely a must try. The space is lovely and you can stay in the area for a picnic, etc.

The recommended vineyard in Quebec. Tried ones in Ontario and other European ones. This one is not tasting at the COVID. So bought the $28 most expensive bottle of Chardonnay for a try. Announced by the salespersons that it won the medal over blind taste. The wine was also put in the American oak barrel according to the salesperson. They say the wine is chilled well for opening and tasting outside. When it is opened, they used the screw that doesn’t hurt the cork, but the temperature of the wine bottle is not satisfactory. The taste is hmm, spice, wax and a bit smoky, worse than any bottle even in Costco.I wanna enrich my knowledge in wine medals here, so I went online according to the photo I took at the shelf. Look carefully, the medal has 2020 and 2018 on it, the bottle is 2019. Not even the medal has nothing to do with the bottle, the website has not mentioned this bottle in none of these years. This is cheating that I don’t like.

The friendliest staff out of all the wineries we’ve tried. The guy that took us on tour and wine tasting was so patient to explain everything so detailedly. We were lucky that it’s early in the year that there wasn’t so many visitors so we could ask all the questions we want. Honestly learnt so much from the guy! Highly recommended!

We wasted too much time here waiting for our food*edit*So when this review was posted keep in mind that we had been biking for a couple hours and our original lunch spot closed early for a "special event" during a long weekend. We were recommended to stop here. This vineyard is not set up to prepare food for a lot people. They had one small oven for a decently sized patio. The employees were working hard to keep up with the demand of a long weekend crowd, we were the tail end (near 2pm), and I cannot fault them. This will likely be an issue everywhere in the area, especially with nice weather...
Stephen K — Google review
I had big expectations for this place because of their pizza and wine concept but was disappointed. Maybe it’s only because of the COVID situation but it felt very much like a fast food joint more than winery experience. We were asked to choose our pizza, paid for it and wait for our number to be called. Pizza was served in a box, no utensils or plates. We could to eat our pizza and savory our wine in the back in the vines where they had some tables and chairs. The pizza was good and so was the wine but it could be better organized. A few parasols could be helpful given our unpredictable weather in Quebec.

As I'm drinking my Saint-Pepin, I remember when we visited on May 4th 2019, late afternoon, that I haven't written yet the review of my experience. They get 3 stars for their products alone, it is good but they lose 2 stars for using the same glass, unrinsed, between tasting of wines that have nothing in common, and serving an open bottle with cork bits in the wine. I know their reds but I wanted to try some of their whites. I'm happy with what I left with but really was disappointed when they didn't have water when I ask for some just to rinse my palette and that, I know for a fact that the red wine served after the white I tasted was changed because of the leftover. No apologies for the cork bits, the young woman even told me that I didn't need to have a clean glass for the red in the first. She was friendly and courteous but something was really off. Overall, I was disappointed of finally visited this place after knowing and working with their wines.

Lovely little vineyard. We really enjoyed our tasting of their full line of products, complete with a training on how to taste wine, a visit to the cellar, and a peek into the production process. Staff were so nice and approachable, even towards novices. Not to be missed!

This place would have been better if they didn't try to serve food. Their tiny pizza oven holds maybe 4 pizzas, which isn't very efficient when there are dozens of orders. We waited over an hour for food that was still partially frozen when served to us.

Wine is good. Haven't not in my taste range though. Good wine but not something out of the ordinary. But the pizza... Oh god! Get a pizza and a glass of wine. Won't be disappointed.

I was supervising a school trip at "Montgomery Adventures" and would like to start off with saying that the experience was amazing! We arrived with a small group of students and were welcomed by a family who really cared both about their dogs and everyone who took the time to go and take part in a truly rewarding experience. Our hosts Keith and Lori are heartfelt and knowledgeable experts. I felt in very good hands. But it was much more. The dogs are healthy, loved and cared-for animals. Each dog is strong and well-trained to bring people of all shapes and sizes out in the wilderness. Keith is a world-class professional when it comes to dogs and is even preparing for an extensive trip to Alaska in dog sledding. He gave us all the important information to take part in the dog sledding, which included safety and security, as well as interesting facts on the subject. There was no shortage of his extensive knowledge on Wilderness and anything to do with it. I even saw that he does canoe adventures in warmer seasons. Keith communicates it all meticulously and in a way that both adults and young people can understand. It was fantastic to go out with someone who knows what they are doing and shows all the consideration to make us feel relaxed for an enjoyable and fabulous adventure! Our hosts offered us home-cooked food and even a beautiful acrobatic event at the end using fire slinging, performed by a resident of Montgomery Adventures. We felt so lucky to a receive a warm, family-style welcome with great dogs! It was a beautifully situated spot tucked in one of the most gorgeous wooded and mountain areas in the country. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a true experience of dog sledding in a beautifully rugged setting with lots of smiles, laughs and excitement. I would love to go back and try a new path!

The Rock Art Brewery is a brewery in the Stowe area of Vermont that offers tours and tastings with rotating taps of beers. The brewery uses solar power to brew its beers, and some of their most well-known beers are Ridge Runner Double IPA and Vermonster, both categorized as English barleywines.
We stopped here while in the area for a wedding. It was mid afternoon on a Thursday. It was not too busy and there was a single young man manning the bar. The space is clean and bright with lots of art throughout. I went with the flight of 2 oz pours of all 8 beers they had on tap so I could give everything a try. The hits were the Bo Pils which was excellent, the Porter which was complex and tasty and the RIS which was big, rich and full of raisin, plums and prune aromas and flavors. The other beers were all well done but nothing that stood out. I didn’t really care too much for the Dance Party IPA and I’m an IPA guy. Went back for a 1/2 pour of the Pils before we had to hit the road. The young man behind the bar was very pleasant and courteous and was quick to serve. There are a few seats out in the front deck and some limited first floor seating but much more space on the second level and a nice view of the production brewery from up there. Bathrooms were bright and clean. Definitely recommend making a stop if you’re in the area.

Awesome family owned brewery!. Beer selection was great. Hats off to the owner who was bartending for recommending the most amazing local hike. We are in the area for our anniversary trip and wanted to do some hiking the next day. She described how one of their beers label was a the view from Long Trail look out point at the top of a "Ridge." It was amazing, as was the "Ridge Runner" beer! Even though we had zero vis at the top of the mountain, it was like being on the edge of the world, just surreal. Thank you so much, the hike make our trip!!!!On the way the out we purchased some beer cans and some art that was offered . 10/10 recommend

Well behaved leashed dogs allowed outside! Bring your dogs by after a hike!I wish I could give this place another star! This is the perfect combination of beer and art. There is an entire art gallery inside/ upstairs supporting over 50 local artists. You can also take a look at the brew operation through big windows! The owner, Renee, was very friendly and even brought my dogs a bowl of water! There is even a food truck outside! 10/10 recommend!

Amazing place. Will 100% visit every time I'm back in the area. The owners were super nice and friendly. We stopped by on Sunday with our kids who really enjoyed playing with the dog that was there while we looked at all the art and talked to the bartender. I enjoyed all the beers, but their flagship IPA and helles were my favourites.favorites.We left with a couple of cases of beer and a bunch of art! Can't wait to visit again.

Perhaps one of the most unique breweries I've ever been too. First off, the space is deceptively large with production in the back and 2 floors and multiple rooms available for hanging out. The amount of beers on tap were similarly impressive, with the options we tried crisp and tasty. The bartenders we interacted with were kind and congenial, and the brewery dog was very cute. The entire space is decked out in local art, filled with games, and buzzing with a cozy atmosphere.Highly recommend a visit!

My husband and I recently took a trip to Morrisville, VT to explore the area for the first time. We took a hike during the day and then had our first brewery stop at Rock Art Brewery. Upon arrival, we met Renée (one of the owners) and their family dog (Ridge). While enjoying a flight of beer, my husband and I had a great conversation with Renèe and learned about their family owned and operated business, their adventures and more! We also explored the brewery’s art gallery and handmade pottery, jewelry and more. We highly recommend this brewery.. great beer, local art, good company and low key atmosphere!

Second year coming to Rock Art as part of our annual VT vacation and just loving the beers and people here. Dylan was extremely knowledgeable about the beers and flavor profiles and a joy to chat with. It was a hot day and Sunny and 75 hit the spot. He also gave us some fantastic recommendations for other breweries to try and a coffee roastery. Thank you for the VT hospitality. Highly recommend

What a cute place. They have a variety of beers and ciders available for sampling at a small price. Dylan was working the day we stopped in, and he was so helpful and patient with us with all our questions. He was super knowledgeable and made the experience that much better. We sampled a few beers and a Gose. I am not a fan of sours, but this one was very mild and something I could actually see myself drinking. I did buy some of their Rocktober Fest Marsen and a case of the seltzers to enjoy at home. They have lots of artwork on the walls, that are available for purchase. There is an upstairs which we didn't get to see. Thanks for a great visit!

What a beautiful cool, artsy brewery. I’m glad I stopped by. The flight of beer was a treat as we got to taste a bit of everything. Beer is well brewed. Always good on draft. The place was decorated with cool funky art including the owners sons work. Pretty awesome! We went upstairs and sat right by a window overlooking the brewery. Bonus - there’s a brew dog 🐶🥰

The family roots and friendly vibe are easy to spot as you pull into driveway at Rock Art, just off VT-100. As folks sipped beer and enjoyed some tasty treats on the porch we headed inside and were warmly greeted as we looked over the menu of available beer and seltzers. You can get 2 oz samples for a buck!, plus half or full pint pours. There are lots of beer and merchandise available for purchase, but make sure to walk upstairs to check out more of the great artwork for sale and take in a birdseye view of the brewery!

I enjoyed this brewery. The beer was not my favorite (beer taste is subjective) but you can tell it was made with quality. I did enjoy it however.Ridge, the brewery's dog is a welcome site. One of the bartenders who also does artwork (and even made a fun comic) as well was wonderful to speak with.I loved the upstairs seating, was great to see the actual brewering side of the brewery.Would definitely recommend a visit, I really enjoyed the time spent and would happily stop in again to try a refreshed tap list!

Stopped in on our last day in Vermont for a few beers and could not have had a better experience! The weather was unpredictable with thunderstorms but we took a risk and brought our (very anxious) rescue dog with us. We enjoyed the porch for the first half of our time with the lovely Ridge, but then the thunder came. We had just ordered a new beer and instead of needing to leave it behind to comfort our dog, we were offered a quiet and private space for her to calm down while we finished. On top of that, the beers were fantastic. A must for anyone in the area who loves beer, dogs, or great people.

Located in Jefferson, Vermont, Smugglers' Notch Distillery is a family-owned establishment known for its exceptional small-batch spirits. The distillery offers a diverse selection of products including gluten-free organic vodka made from corn and Vermont spring water, maple rum aged in pure maple syrup bourbon barrels, two types of gin, bourbon, wheat and rye whiskey. Visitors can enjoy tasting tours that provide an informative and engaging experience.
We had so much fun at this distillery. I’m terrible with names, I know he is a teacher/professor, but he was so kind. He spent a lot of time talking about all of the different selections and their unique taste. Shared some laughs and left with a bottle of 126. Did not expect an experience like that in Vermont, but we had a good afternoon there. Not to mention the bourbon is surprisingly delicious. I wished I could take a couple bottles home.

Enjoyed everything I tried and its priced well. Hard to get a good feel for the flavor out of those little plastic cups though, tough to get a proper whiff. Again though, great stuff! If y'all don't already do your own version of a Jacknife with 1 part maple cream liqueur and 1 part bourbon, you probably should. Not something I'd drink all the time, as I normally prefer sipping neat, but the right day and with some spare maple cream to get rid of, it's a solid drink.

Such a disappointment…the spirits might be good but completely lacking in friendly customer service. We stopped in for a tasting and to buy gifts but after the experience we had interacting with the very unfriendly woman at the counter we left without buying a thing. We we’re the only ones in the store in a weekday morning and she could not have shown less interest in helping us. They also would not accommodate the need of our child to use the bathroom which was the perfect excuse for us to head out!

Not too sure what to say about their pricing…USD 10 for a tasting of just one single barrel whisky, matured over three different times (from 2.5 to 5.4 yrs.) plus one other product of theirs…The guy behind the desk seemed not too interested in making us buy.So we didn’t.

This is one of the first places I wanted to go to when I got to Smuggler’s Notch! They have tasting for $5 or $10. I of course did the $10 because it included the single barrel aged bourbon. Long story short I walked out with 2 bottles of the maple creme (one bourbon based and one rum based) as well as a bottle of maple syrup. I’m so sorry I did not get the young man’s name but he was so kind, fun and helpful. I was there 8/16/2024 around 4:30pm. Just want to give kudos to him! He deserves it. Next time I’m in the area I will be returning but nice to know there’s shipping through the website. Thank you for helping to make my vacation more memorable. 🫶🏽

We really enjoyed our visit and tasties. The young lady working was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She gave us options that made our trip there on motorcycles easier to get product and she even let us know one of the best places to eat. Will definitely get online and visit again when we come from midcoast Maine!

Nice new location. Great spirits, especially the Vodka. They have a new grapefruit vodka my wife loves. The barrel aged maple syrup is a classic Vermont way to end a tasting. Loved it, too.The woman giving the samples did so with professionalism. Se had an enthusiasm for the product that shone through, despite giving the same talk countless times.

We stopped into the store in Jeffersonville this past Wednesday. The spirits were nothing to get excited about, although the Maple Cream was very good. However, the woman behind the counter was extremely unpleasant and rude. I hate to write negative reviews, in fact this is my first, but I feel the owners need to know that the person representing their company is doing them a huge disservice.

Bourbon tasting was great, wanted to get the last two bottles of Dead something but at $115 couldn't justify 🥺Also the lady, masked up behind her plastic wall, was not friendly, and definitely NOT the person to be talking about the bottles and selling to people. Not a people person IMO and very off-putting.Oh well.... bourbon bottle I bought was good, gin tasting was so-so (I'm more of a gin guy) but I wouldn't go back and would just purchase online through their distributor.

Wonderful guidance during my tasting from staff and really incredible distilling. I'm from Kentucky and Tennessee and I approve this message. 👌

What a find and local gem. Gin is fantastic. Ask about the story of the distillery and spirit names when tasting. Also, try the bourbon barrel maple syrup.

If you aren’t skiing and looking for something tasty to experience, then I’d suggest a tasting tour of Smugglers’ Notch Distillery! If the clear stuff (vodka and gin) are your thing - no issues. If you like your spirits a little darker then SND has you covered! The bourbon tasting tour is informative, engaging and tasty. There is much to sample and the store has something for you! Whether it is a finely crafted spirit, a Smugglers’ Mule (ready made), distillery barrels or even skate decks - then you need not worry! Kudos! Well done!

Visiting Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits was very enjoyable for my wife and I! The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing - reminiscent of familiar farms! The owners - Dave and his wife, and their assistant - Luke, were/are very accommodating & friendly. They were very placid during the demonstration/tasting, so much so that the “boundary” of the sample tasting was very generous, including many more than was paid for. I also highly recommend the cheese box - perfect samples & very tasty! Sitting outside on the patio with our cocktails & cheese box generated an ambience of calm & serenity! Cool breeze, very open expanse of the farm location with no traffic noise! Best of all, I could order what I wanted and have it shipped to our home out of state!

My girlfriend and I visited Smuggler's Notch area this past weekend and stopped by at Boyden Valley Winery. We instantly liked the atmosphere and enjoyed the knowledgeable wine tasting with Tina. After that we sat on the patio and enjoyed each one of our favourite wines from this winery. We loved this place very much. Definitely worth a visit.

Great wine and bourbon selection. They have tastings for $10. Also got some gift items and good chocolates.

Really pleasantly surprised with this fun stop. Loved the couple doing the tastings. We just walked in and got to get right to it. Several really nice wines and liqueurs. And the tasting was laid back and super cheap. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

While exploring the northern part of my home state, my wife and I found Boyden Valley and we were excited to stop in for a tasting. The grounds are beautiful and inside the tasting room you are able to have a flight of 10 pours from their extensive list of wines, ciders, and distilled products and keep the glasses as a souvenir. We were both very impressed with the knowledge that our guide Amy had with all of the products, and her easy going and welcoming attitude while we spend some time here (she even takes a great 📸). After the tasting they do offer cheese and chocolate boards as well as a maple milkshake. I purchased some of the Vt ice maple creme liquor to try out at home! This was a brand that we have tried before, as they had their iced ciders in Bennington's CiderPolza in the past. We're so fortunate to have been able to stop by there Winery and get to know some more products from their helpful staff.

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars! While we didn't plan for a wine tasting, stumbling upon Borden Valley Winery and Spirits turned out to be a delightful surprise. Highly recommended for an unexpected and rewarding stop during your drive!

Stopped by because of the great reviews and we were so pleased we did! The staff was lovely and friendly. Playing tourist while visiting family in Vermont and did the drive to Smuggler’s Notch. Saw Boyden Valley Winery along the way and thought it’d make a special time together even better. Smugglers' Notch Resort
Resort hotel

Modern condo units in a scenic mountain setting with casual dining & year-round activities.
Place was great. Service I gave a 3 because it was off season in April and nothing was open on site other than the store and fun zone on the weekend. Other than that, the kids pool was a lifesaver. We had 5 kids 8 and under and we spend a lot of time there. We stayed in the. Tamaracks. Very spacious and cozy.. View of the forest from. Our window was spectacular. Definitely great. This was our first time visiting.

To be honest 95% of the staff was excellent. The resort was outstanding. Our room was awesome. The shuttle drivers were great. The restaurant scene was nice. 1 employee in the pizza/ice cream place was nasty on 2 occasions. Once to my daughter and then to my sister. I understand that sometimes people have a bad day, but 2 instances in just a few days is unacceptable. Someone needs to let her know when you work in a resort that the goal is to ensure that the patrons enjoy their experience. A little smile and a pleasant tone goes a long way. But enough about her. If you are considering a trip to smuggler's notch I recommend it fully.

I know there was a serious incident leading to one of the pools being closed…I understand that completely. However, the hours for other amenities are random and often not adhered to. Food options are poor and hours unpredictable. Poolside bar not open despite posted hours saying otherwise. This is our second summer here and will be our last. There are plenty of other options in New England that put out effort to create recurring guests, some might even go so far as to have an option for breakfast. The best option for breakfast here is an undated Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich sitting in a warmer in the country store.

Bring eggs and other food u can cook as the restaurants are all at driving distance and it takes time to get the food. And they have dish washer so u all set. Amazing time for the kids we couldn't get them out of the place Kicking and screaming on the way out all the time.

Rented a condo for a week in early spring. First time there - loved it. The property is nestled right into the beautiful landscape of the state forest preserve, surrounded by tall trees, cascading streams, and high peaks in all directions. The condo was amazing, comfortable and clean with all the amenities one could want in a vacation home. Can't wait to return.

This is a fantastic place for a family ski trip. The staff are exceptionally friendly and they have a ton of activities geared towards kids and family fun. The condos are very nice and well maintained but lack some small things like all the things you need to really cook in the kitchen. Nothing here is luxury, buts it's nothing to complain about either. It's meant for families and its absolutely perfect for that. The food is fairly good, but not great. It's over priced, but that's typical for a ski resort. They have a teen center for the kids and some evening activities moat nights for the family. They have amazing skiing with a wide variety of trails. The lessons are fantastic and e eryone had a blast. But the lifts are just doubles and not high speed. So you spend a lot of time on lifts. It wasn't a big deal, but it's worth nothing. Overall it's a fantastic resort and i absolutely plan to bring my family back again.

Stayed in the Owls - beautiful view, updated 4 bedroom unit was laid out great and we loved the kitchen, laundry room, family room and deck. It was great to have an ice machine downstairs too for our daytime excursions.Friendly, helpful staff, easy check-in. Hiking and zip lining/climbing nearby.Nice indoor pool and splash play area for kids, but note it’s only open NOON- 7 pm, which was kind of annoying because it’s a sleepy little town that pretty much shuts down at 8 pm (early June) and it would be nice to be able to hang at the pool or hot tub at night. We would totally stay here again.

Great location! Lots to do at the resort and close to a ton of activities around Smugglers Notch. Our group hiked, saw waterfalls, rode the Gondola, stopped at several breweries, mountain biked, relaxed at the resort, did Ben and Jerry's tour, golfed, rode horseback in the mountains, and ate at several great restaurants! We also visited Church Street in Burlington for some shopping and views of the waterfront. Vermont is stunning!

A relaxing place to stay and enjoy the last days of summer/first days of fall. Gorgeous views, activities that adults can enjoy (cordial and bitters making class, jewelry making class), a good base from which to explore other locations. My only quibble was the limited dining options due to it being off-season but I had a full kitchen in my rental so I was able to cook and they provide a list of nearby grocery stores. They also provide maps and lists of things to do (where to see moose, where to find covered bridges, antique shops, hiking, things to do on rainy days, etc.) for guest convenience. I recommend staying mid-week (Mon-Thurs) if you want to avoid crowds. If you want to be around people or participate in activities like concerts, the weekend is the time to go.
Alexia G — Google review
Overall nice resort, everyone complains about the lifts and I can see why. It's not only the lifts that need to be brought up to speed though. It seems like your stepping back in time even when your staying on the resort property. As much money as this place brings in they should give some of it back to the guests in the form of renovations. Trails were amazing.
Nick L — Google review
The resort itself is nice. The rental units are comfortable and relaxing. However, they nickel and dime EVERYTHING here. The staff is rude. They have no lodge over by the kids/beginner hills. (Unclear to me if there are lodges anywhere else) everyone just tosses their stuff at the pizza place, apparently. When you ask questions you are met with disdain. The place is disorganized and they are clearly understaffed. It’s impossible to get a bottle of water nearly anywhere. We rented 5 sets of skis. I purchased a lesson that included a lift ticket and ski rental. All the other skis worked fine, but mine were clearly unwaxed to the point that my ski instructor told me to unlatch, go down to the rental place and have them reschedule me for the next day solve I was just going to hurt myself. He specified that my form was fine, and he tried scraping the skis off once before sending me back to rentals. Once I arrived they told me he shouldn’t have said that and that they would not provide a lift ticket, or lesson for the next day, and that I could not receive any refund or credit.I paid $160 to… not ski?Additionally the rentals are located on the other side from the lessons so you have to hike either down through the village or up through the mountain base to get there. This is rough on anyone w injuries and daunting for new skiers. All their advertising says they’re great for families but they have no lodge for families. There’s little to no bathroom access . Staying hydrated is next to impossible and you are constantly gated to pay more. The communication is non existent here. They don’t tell you where to go or what to do but employees are frustrated when you do it “wrong”. My family skis all season every year & we will never be back here. Horrible experience 0/10.

Good mountains, much fun, yes recommend. The Valhalla of disc golf. Can't imagine what this place is like when it's ski season as it's one of the most beautiful places I've been and it was summer. There's literally something for everyone to do even if you aren't an outdoorsy type. My one nitpick is the condos are somewhat outdated. We had issues with the washer dryer setup all week. Not something that bothered me particularly but if I have a gripe that's it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Club Wyndham Smugglers' Notch in Vermont, and my experience was overwhelmingly positive. One of the standout features was the generous unit size. We opted for a two-bedroom deluxe unit, which comfortably accommodated 8-10 people. We specifically stayed in unit 6 of the Sycamore building, and from the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Pat Fuller, a former Massachusetts native from Wilmington. Pat's friendly demeanor and welcoming attitude set the tone for our stay, and he truly was an asset to the Wyndham property.Contrary to some reviews I had read about staff attitudes, I found the entire staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. While the unit's interior may have had a slightly outdated feel with its wallpaper, I personally appreciated the cozy, 1980s-1990s vibe it exuded. It was evident that the unit was well-kept and maintained, which enhanced the overall comfort of our stay. One aspect to note is the narrow roads leading up to the resort, which could be a bit challenging, especially when two cars are traveling in opposite directions. However, this minor inconvenience didn't detract from the overall experience. The Club Wyndham Smugglers' Notch offers numerous family-friendly activities and dining options, making it a great choice for those seeking an all-encompassing vacation experience. I had the opportunity to dine at the Lodge by Hyatt just down the street, about 4 miles away, and I must say, it served the most incredible burger I've ever had.In summary, my stay at Club Wyndham Smugglers' Notch was exceptional, earning it a solid 9 out of 10 in my book. The friendly staff, spacious accommodations, and charmingly cozy atmosphere more than compensated for any minor imperfections. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort for a memorable Vermont getaway filled with positive experiences.

For the price you pay NOT WORTH IT. Employees aren’t very nice and take their job way too serious. No trash cans anywhere. Terrain parks never open. Lifts are old as hell. There are plenty of other mountains that are way better than Smuggs. Don’t waste your money here. You’d expect a much better resort for how much they money gouge.

1st time staying at Smuggler’s Notch and bet decision and worth it! Great resort for Timeshare Holders, Local Resident’s, Non- Member. Lots of activities for all ages. Everything you need is within the complex, from indoor climbing/ arcades to supplies all located in the facility. Plenty of scenic trails to hike or just ride on the Gondola back and forth. Eat at their lounges or grill in front of your porch. It’s a home away from your home. You will feel relaxed and stress free , you can drive to Montréal & Quebec for a day. The staff are polite and what to help. There’s a shuttle van that will take you to your destination. Their rooms are big and roomy, enough to fit 2-3 families into 1 rental . Definitely, this was a well stay for the books and memories of a life time . Must go back for the changing of the leaves & try their slopes during ski season.

This was the perfect place to go with a large group of kids. There was so much to do for free and a lot of options to pay more to do something special. Our 4 bedroom condo slept 10 and had 4 bathrooms (all with tubs). Living room and dining had actually enough seating for all of us. It’s beautiful and very casual there- lots of natural swimming, pools, outdoor games, kids activities, indoor stuff for rainy days and ice cream. I gave 4 stars for service because the restaurants were just ok- slow service with errors and the food was so so. However, you’re 20 minutes from Stowe and we went there for meals a few times (all were great). I was not confident going in because the information about the resort in non-skiing season online was so lacking, but what they lack in tech savvy they make up for in good old fashioned nature-centric down time. For reference, we had two grandparents (very active), 4 adults in their 30’s and 5 children (6, 5, 4, 3, and 0).Also, the WiFi was awful and we had terrible T mobile service- which for us, was a great thing.

I must say this is a rare gem, I run a large vacation company and very rarely do you come across a property like this that has not been taken over by a major corporation! The family style resorts are a dying breed, you can feel it when you check-in. 3 mountains with just under 100 runs! We will definitely be a repeat offender to Smuggs! Thumbs up to ALL the staff you made our family feel welcome!!

We just finished our stay in Evergreen building booked through RCI. We had two 2 bedroom suites for 5 adults and 2 toddlers. Rooms were well stocked and the kitchens had many unexpected items including multiple pots and pans, crock pot, toaster oven and toaster. Decor was a bit dated and the washer in our unit did leak a bit. Balcony was nice. Unfortunately this is their off season and many activities and restaurants were only available on weekends (june 14th everything more available....) also as RCI guests they charge extra for the mountainside pool and fun zone and id add looking at mountainside pool was def not worth the $48/day/unit! Mini golf course and all the playgrounds were pretty sad too. Also no gas grills, only charcoal. 30 minutes to Stowe - driving through the notch was cool

1 star. Extremely disappointing stay. The hot water in our room was discolored and unusable. As my son aptly put it, 'this hot water looks like pee.' We suspect it's due to a failed hot water heater. This is unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of its rating or price point. Clean, safe water is a basic necessity. We reported the issue to management, but I'm leaving this review as a warning to other potential guests. The hotel needs to address this serious problem immediately. I would strongly advise checking the water quality before booking or upon arrival if you decide to stay here

No food on site! I had a great time during my vacation but that doesn't mean this place can't use some criticism. We learned that it was "off season" so restaurants were closed. It's weird because they market themselves as a four season resort. If you have guests, you are in business. The parking lot was full of cars, yet we were still "off-seasoned". It feels like they treated us as second-class citizens just because it's "offseason" by whatever their business definition. The lack of onsite restaurants, plus the old-timy room style, the well-equipped kitchen, and the family value they promote, makes one wonder maybe guests should bring a mom here to take care of the meals while everyone else vacation. Like of course she wouldn't mind bringing groceries from out of state and spend lots of time in the kitchen, right? Of course such societal role is reasonable in 2024, right? The location and the in-unit washer and dryer are my favorites. Room in general is OK, everything is functional, can't complain. There could also be more EV chargers. Currently there are only 2 chargers, on the entire ground. This is in the middle of mountains and the nearest chargers are far away, so please consider this for your future guests.

OMG! This place is a gem. If finally know the difference between apple juice vs apple cider. They have a free tasting area in the back so you can actually taste real apple cider. It's way better than normal apple juice. They also make cider donuts that are delicious and it's not covered with sugar. The store has so many gift items that are very local to VT. Spent the day hitting all the best spots in town because we were supposed to get a ton of rain, and it ended up being such a nice day. It was about an hour away from our AirBNB to get into Stowe and I fully believe that if we drove exclusively to enjoy the $3 donut ice cream sandwich that I picked this spot for that it would've been worth the drive just for that.Cold Hollow Cider Mill was a very unique general store feel, it had souvenirs and junk you'd expect to run I to on vaca trip, but it also had a honey section with a live and see through beehive to watch which was super cool, and of course the apple cider donuts and soft serve ice creams at the counter.Delicious and fun with a lot of interesting junk.

Bantering with locals often yields interesting information that you wouldn’t have immediately thought of searching online. Since the move to New England, I have had the tendency to just drive normal distances to Californians, which in this area means traveling easily into various other states, and just randomly chatting up individuals at wherever area I’m in. I always ask the same question to locals - “What do you recommend one thing someone to do in your town?” Whatever they suggest, I just go about without asking further questions (this has worked well for me as I travelled over the last two decades - with obviously some funny stories in between). An elderly couple at the grocery store who chatted me up about the various fermented vegetables eventually asked if I was from the area. When they found out I was just passing through, they asked if I had visited any of their mainstays. I named a couple restaurants and then asked them *the* question. They named this establishment and recommended that I at least tried both their cold and hot ciders as well as their legendary cider donuts. That was all I needed to hear to get back into my car and drive two miles to the other side of town. You are greeted by the wonderful scent wafting from their bakery as you step through their doors. The interior was definitely was way larger than you would have thought while standing outside. They carried so many goods within that you would easily browse for an hour as there was much thought to how they laid it all out in sections. What was most delightful was when I found the cider room and the large apple press in the adjacent room where you could view through a glass pane. Self-serve yourself some amazingly tasty cold cider, stare at people prepare the press to apply tons of pressure to extract all that goodness, and walk yourself to grab a gallon jug of awesome elixir you just partook of…order a cup of hot cider and a cider donut to munch on the way out. Absolutely wonderful experience - again, honest locals will never fail you. It is their pride after all to share what’s so awesome about their town.I actually really look forward to be back again.

The ambiance, warmth and hospitality of this place makes you feel as if you have stepped into a scene in a Hallmark movie. All their specialty treats are delicious!!! The Apple Cider tastes as if you have placed a straw directly into a sweet apple, The cider doughnuts are moist and delicious. Perfect for brunch or a fulfilling snack. The Maple ice cream has the perfect blend of Maple and cream flavors. The Cider Mill is also a great place to purchase those one-of-a-kind souvenirs for your Family and Friends. I truly enjoyed my experience.

Located in beautiful Waterbury Center, VT, this place is worth the hype! Absolutely loved their freshly made cider donuts. The shop has tons of local goodies and gifts. If interested, they do have interesting documentary about how their cider came this far.

This place was so cute! They had the restaurant on one side of the parking lot and a huge country store on the other. Parking didn't seem to be an issue, some spots facing building and a huge parking lot connected a little farther back.In the country store : Apple cider donuts(you can watch them making them!), all kinds of jams, tons of food items available, good amount of specialty Vermont items and souvenirs, there's also a room that explains how their apple cider is made(this is where you can try it!) Prices were affordable. The restaurant: You walk in and order up front before picking a table in their dining room area, the food is brought out to you when done. The cider flights are something worth trying! You pick four 4oz cider choices to try from a menu explaining each cider on a list. I was impressed it was only around $10. We really enjoyed everything here! It has a pretty neat vibe, the food was delicious, there was a decent amount of seating which I feel is kid and family friendly, they offer "half" & "full" sandwiches, prices in the normal range, small gift shop within

Amazing store with lot of options to choose from. You can’t go empty handed from here. As hyped, tried their donuts and hot cider. Honestly, i liked the hot cider as weather was cold and i wish I got hot donuts instead of cold ones but still they were delicious.

Really adorable business with a lot of northeastern charm. Lots of neat things to explore in their market that sells everything from from canned goodies to t shirts. They have delicious apple cider made on site and the ever popular apple cider donut... definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out. I hope to try out the restaurant on site the next time I'm up that way.

Yummy yummy yummy! Great stop for a quick treat. Fresh cider donuts! Covered outdoor seating with alcoholic Cider for sale at the Barn. $9.95 for four 4oz pours and cider cans are available for purchase to go. Free samples of non alcoholic Apple Cider in the main store. Only $8 a gallon for apple cider! Lots of lovely Vermont supplies to buy for your loved ones. Lots of cute kitchen stuff too.

Great place to try vermont's finest cider donuts, warm and freshly made! Absolutely loved it. There is a store too where you can buy local products like honey, maple syrup and many more including kitchenware. You could also go for cider tasting, which is an experience of its own. There was outdoor seating too.

Great place to visit. Lots of Vermont items you can purchase. The apple cider is very good. There's samples to try. Must get a fresh hot apple cider donut!
Sharon — Google review
At the back corner, they have a viewing window with an explanation of how apple cider is made. I was able to see them use equipment to squeeze out the juice from the mashed apples. You'll also find free apple cider that's kept chilled and taste very refreshing! Doesn't taste like sugar was added. Better than any packaged apple juice filled with junk or even store bottled cider. As for their cider donuts, skip it and go to Burtt's for theirs. They know how to make a tasty, moist donut. Cold Hollow was really dry and almost tasted like it's not fresh eventhough they were making a bunch for all to see. They were a bit small in size. They sell many typical local goods like jams, jellies, maple syrup, maple-related items, cheese, apple butter, chocolates, etc.

This is like a cider donut shop, food shop, gift shop, and cafe all on one. They have so many different things to buy! We tried some of the Vermont maple creamee and it was so delicious! They also had a section where you could try freshly squeezed apple cider and is was amazing! There is a good amount of seating space outside to enjoy as well.

Went here for the Solar Eclipse. However, really enjoyed breakfast sandwich and maple flavored coffee roll. Enjoyed the homemade apple cider, cider Donuts, and friendly staff. The gift shop is amazing. Next time I visit Vermont I will definitely be back. It is worth the stop everyone!!!

Hot cider was delicious. Donuts were a bit of a let down after watching the vlogs that everyone else has watched to get here. I guess they’re only crunchy and fresh earlier in the day. Store/merch area was chaotic to say the least, Friday around 1pm. I heard someone nearby say “madhouse.” We bought cans of cider for our friends and a single postcard.Driving up to the mill was all red on maps, but somehow we were bloody lucky and got a spot immediately. Takes longer than you think it will to extract yourself and leave as well. We sat in the ski lift outside because everyone else was in skirts and heels and couldn’t get up on it 🍎

One of our favorite places to stop in Stowe/Waterbury. Always packed. They have lots of Vermont gifts and foods, and you can get a free sample of cider in the back.

Was very excited to try this place from numerous online recommendations. It is definitely a tourist place. They have a shop with souvenirs, jams and syrups. You can have a sample of the cold cider, which is delicious !The donuts were very underwhelming. I was expecting a hot fresh donut, but mine was cold.

To be honest, it was probably a fault on our part to not have researched a little more but I was expecting a visit to Cold Hollow Cider Mill to be a little more experiential. It’s 100% self guided and it’s up to you what you do. There’s dining options and drinking options as well as shopping. Because we weren’t really sure what to expect we mainly walked around. We did check out the bar area where we ordered a flight of their alcoholic ciders and sat in their cozy lounge but there wasn’t much of an experience given by staff. What I do wish we’d done was buy more maple syrup because the little vial we bought was so delicious we drank it in one sitting! Overall, I’d return but with a better idea of an objective.

Yummiest soft serve with iced cider, a great flight of ciders, and the cutest gifts available. I’ve visited as a child and loved it just as much bringing my kiddo and niece back!

I was excited to kick off the fall season by visiting Cold Hollow Cider Mill on my road trip to Stowe Vermont! The cider mill was very quaint. I enjoyed shopping in their general store, finding lots of unique odds and ends. The cider making process was also interesting and fun to experience. I was slightly disappointed in their customer service. One of the reasons we stopped in was for their legendary donuts we had heard so much about. Unfortunately, even though we were willing to wait for a hot batch to be made, they insisted they could only sell what was immediately available. The cold donuts left us disappointed and uninspired. I threw half of mine away.

One of my absolute favorite places to come to when I'm in town visiting my parents. And now I get to bring my own son to enjoy the delicious cider donuts. He's not quite fond of the cider yet but that may come with age.I never tire of walking into the store and smelling the glorious aromas of cooking cider donuts. Watching my sons eyes light up while checking out the antique donut maker is a memory I'll always cherish.Sean is a good friend from back in the day and it's nice to catch up while he's working. He's become a familiar face at the store and I look forward to our next visit and many more.

Cold Hollow is one of our favorite places to visit in Vermont! It’s usually busy (especially in the fall) but 100% a do-not-miss! They have every Vermonty / Cidery / Mapley thing you might need or want and free cider samples in the back where you can learn all about how apple cider is made! They have good Creemees (maple flavored soft-serve) and amazing Apple Cider Slushies made fresh by some of the nicest people! Don’t skip the Apple Core Luncheonette across the parking lot!

The baked goods were ok.. nothing special..We enjoyed our cider flight and beer - check the time on that as the restaurant and bar may closer earlier than the main store.

Yes some would say this is a tourist trap but while it has that Vermont product retail vibe, it's more than that.Yes, there's the store, but also cider samples, educational lessons about apple juicing, fresh cider donuts and a darned impressive array of products to buy.We also had lunch here - sandwiches on house made fresh bread, real ingredients combined with a house made hard cider and you have a fine little excursion.Given it was Halloween, I think that's why Count von Count is driving Cookie monster and Marvin the Martian around in a sports car...

Loved the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Everything Vermont all in one place. We were able to find so many things we never knew we wanted. They also have a bakery where you can get the best cider donuts with a cup of maples flavored hot chocolate which was perfect for the cold weather we were experiencing. If you are in the area, definitely stop in and take a quick browse, I guarantee you will get something.

This is a fun place to stop, be prepared for crowds and have patience. The donuts are delicious, ours were hot and fresh! Their cider is filtered and more like apple wine IMO (compared to DownEast Ciders) but still worth doing the tasting flight. Lots of local jams, jellies, and other snacks for sale as well.

Stopped by on my way to Stowe. Picked up a few hot sauces. Totally recommend the donuts and mulled cider.

It was many years ago that I visited this place on a class trip. Hadn't been back for 30+ years. My girlfriend and I have been back here three times in the past 2 years. It's a must-visit when we're back in Vermont seeing family. Buy some fresh-made donuts and munch while you shop. Go to the tasting tank and sample what cider is supposed to taste like. If you're lucky you'll get to see the press in action at the viewing room. See y'all again in December 😉

This place was so cute!!They have two sections that you can go to.The first section was like a store. They had all types of goodies that were made with apple cider or that you can use for cooking. They made fresh apple cider donuts in house that were so good. Then in the back you can see them making fresh apple cider. I didn’t really know what to expect When people made apple cider but it made so much sense once I’ve seen it. I was so fascinated. They also had tastings of this cider which was SO GOOD.The next section was a little café. They sell food and drinks. They also had a bar which you can get hard apple cider tastings. I don’t drink apple cider that is spite, but my cousin did. I have a taste, and what I can say is that the cider was strong! It had great flavor, though. All of the employees were really kind to us when we were in the shops. This is definitely a must stop when you were in Vermont. The Cidermill is on the same road as the Cabot Creamery store and the Ben & Jerry’s store.

The Cabot Creamery Store in Waterbury is a cheese lover's paradise, offering a wide variety of cheeses including unique flavors like Tuscan Herb. Visitors can also explore artisanal cheeses and even sample grilled cheeses with apple butter. Located conveniently along the main highway with ample parking, this store provides an opportunity to discover different kinds of cheese made by Cabot as well as their own wines. Additionally, it offers a range of other stores nearby for visitors to explore.
Great free samples, a few cheese domes around the store. Some unique flavors and different spice levels. The horseradish cheese and hobanero were samples the day I was there. The prices are reasonable on their own Cabot products. There are many other small artsy items that are more expensive.

Not like pre Covid but a great place to visit none the same. Lots of cheese, jams , honey, syrups and other gift ideas all on display. They still have a small tasting table. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A must stop while in Stowe.

Things you never knew you never until you are there... oh my. This place has so much! More than I ever thought. They were also so friendly and samples really helped for those afraid to commit to something new without knowing if they like it first. 😍Don't forget about the butter!! That black label butter is so good! And they make high-quality merino wool socks?!?I loved the labeling, made it very customer friendly. 👏

I ordered a variety of Cabot's boxed Mac & Cheese thru Dakin Farms(I live in Michigan and can't get all of Cobot products) this review is for Cabot's boxed Bacon Mac & Cheese. Directions on box are pretty straight forward and simple to follow. Disclaimer I did add fresh Cobot Cheddar, pasta water(to cheese, milk & butter mixture) but that bacon flavour right along with that trademark Cabot cheesiness came through! For a boxed Mac & Cheese I'll have to say this one is a huge WINNER! Thank you Cabot!

Cabot cheese is a brand I grew up with as a kid and to now learn about the history was incredible! I greatly enjoyed learning about the different types of cheeses and how they pair with things. The cheese at the store is affordable and has a very wide selection. I do wish I could have better understood what the experience would include to be mentally prepared.

This is Waterbury Center where you can find the Cabot Farmer’s store. This is along the main highway, plenty of parking. Other stores you can find in this place are : Patagonia, Smuggler notch distillery and vermont trailwear. The Restroom if you need it is separate from the store it has own place and need passcode to get in where you can get it from any store staff there. I enjoy seeing different kind of cheese made by Cabot and alao they have their own Wines. I bought the fig spread, brie, goat cheese , cows milk soap ( I love it so much, the smell and the softness effect on my skin) and lastly the vermont wines.

Had an amazing stop in at the Cabot’s Farmers Store. One of the only places in Vermont that offer cheese sampling. Personal favorites are the Pepperjack and 5 year aged cheddar! Watch out the habanero is spicy! The green tomato jalapeño jam is literally to die for it is soooo good! The Farmers store has all kinds of goodies - cheese, jams, syrups, honeys, ciders, hard ciders, IPA’s. Great selection.

This store is very cute with many helpful staff members. Lots of samples are available, and it appears that most of their products are available to buy. We bought a nice t-shirt from their extensive collection of souvenirs. There are other shops conveniently located nearby such as Lake Champlain chocolates, Smuggler's Notch distillery, and a dispensary. I highly recommend stopping in if you happen to be passing by.

Great store, some tasty free samples. Try the horseradish cheddar–very mild and tasty. For extra fun, ask the staff if they still carry the white cheddar popcorn shaker cheese. You won't finish your sentence before they're rolling their eyes and telling you it was discontinued in 2018. Sounds like they get asked that a lot... maybe bring it back? Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I love this place so much! When you walk in, you are greeted with an abundance of cheese. You can choose from any type you prefer. They even have flavors that you may not see when you live. For me, that was the Tuscan Herb flavor. Then you move to the next section of the store which has more artisanal cheeses. They even had Jasper Hill Farm cheese which I have been searching for a long time. There was a guy making grilled cheeses samples with apple butter which was absolutely incredible. There were a great variety of crackers. They had free samples of cheeses, wine, and cheese and jam pairings. They had kitchen tools that you can buy for parties or just every day use.One of the workers told me they designed this store to guide you through the steps of making a charcuterie board! Genius. This place was incredible. I highly recommend this location if you are visiting Vermont.Make sure to check the hours because they are not open on certain days.

So many cheeses, so many choices, so many options, so many decisions - and that’s just talking about dairy products in general. Yet, Cabot creamery recently became one of the reasons for the drive to Vermont. During my first and previous visit, I tried most of the samples and was pleased with varying levels of flavor from mild to sharp. I learned after chatting with one of the staff that most visitors come specifically for the 10 year aged cheddar as it’s not commonly sold anywhere else unlike their 1 and 5 year cheeses.Bought one to try, ended up returning the next day for another block…and now back again a few months later for a couple more while passing through.Definitely recommend a visit when in the area

I remember coming here back when it was in the old building across the way. We'd fill up on free samples and then grab some of their dip for home. This place is a perfect spot for Cabot and they had some delicious samples. They even had some paired with jams which were super tasty. Picked up a Big Cheese shirt for our little guy and it's so awesome to bring him to experience this like I did as a kid.

Ice cream shop
Ben & Jerry's is a famous ice cream chain originating from Vermont, recognized for its innovative and creatively named flavors. The founders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, took over a defunct gas station in Burlington in 1978 and began experimenting with unconventional flavors that completely transformed the way ice creams are made.
Tours closed due to Covid. We went late one evening (around 6pm) and the graveyard was closed (maybe due to the recent snow? Idk). The only thing left to do was buy and eat ice cream! The service was fantastic, they answered all my many questions about the different flavors. Then we ate our treats in the car as it was too cold and snowy to eat in the outdoor patio. Would love to return once it’s fully open again!

This was high on our list of to-dos in Vermont, but to be honest, I only think it's worth it if you're doing other stuff nearby (like visiting the town of Stowe or the Cold Hollow cider mill). The shop is cute and has a lot of ice cream options, but you can still get that in downtown Burlington. You'd come to the museum to learn more about ice cream and how it's made, but the factory tour is very very short, and you see machinery, but not really much of the process itself. We also watched a 10min video about B&Js history, which is interesting, but I'd rather watch that on my own (without making the long trip there). There is an additional thing to see here, which is an ice cream cemetery. 🪦 The idea is interesting and funny, they have a sign for some of their popular ice cream flavors that got discontinued. All in all, if you're a big fan of B&J's, I'd say it's worth going to see. If you're just curious about ice cream making, I don't think it's worth going. We still got some cute and funny photos and tried some ice cream, so not a wasted trip.

It was an amazing place to visit the main store. Definitely a fun trip, especially on a hot summer day. I mean you might have to wait a bit on the line to get some ice cream but it’s totally worth it! The flavor options are just so mind blowing. The hardest part is choosing which flavor to get. It’s a fun trip if you have kids, they were especially enjoyed the playground area. The flavor graveyard was especially hilarious and shows you some lost flavors. It will definitely give you a chuckle.

Great experience! The factory tour was very informative though I wished the production part would always be included on the tour, but you’ll know ahead of time if you purchase tickets in advance. We had a sample of 2 different ice cream flavors. The flavor lab is where the 30 minute tour ends with a taste of broccoli ice cream…just kidding! It was Marshmallow Sky for us!! There’s a gift shop where all fanatics can get their goodies. Don’t forget to visit the Flavor Graveyard and the playground for the kiddies. Enjoy!!

The tour at the Ben & Jerry’s factory was an absolute delight! From start to finish, it was a fun and engaging experience that offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how their iconic ice cream is made. The knowledgeable and friendly guides made the tour informative and enjoyable, sharing the history and quirky anecdotes that make Ben & Jerry’s so unique. The highlight, of course, was the sample of ice cream at the end of the tour. It was a sweet treat that added an extra layer of joy to the experience. After the tour, I couldn’t resist heading to the store to try more flavors. I opted for the Maple and Walnuts, a Vermont specialty, and it was simply divine. The rich, creamy ice cream combined with the sweet maple and crunchy walnuts created a perfect harmony of flavors.Overall, the Ben & Jerry’s factory tour is a must-visit for any ice cream lover. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and the delicious samples are a fantastic bonus. Make sure to see the Flavor Graveyard!! It’s so cute. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience on the factory tour. Our tour guide Blair was very friendly and funny and did a great job covering the history and inner workings of the factory. The tour is a very good value for the cost! We also got to try ice cream! Delicious as always but something more special about having it at this place. This is a great place for families to visit and have fun. It does get quite busy and the parking gets filled so it's good to book tours in advance and come s little before the start time. The flavor graveyard just outside the main guest entrance was a cool thing to see, some of these flavors I never knew existed.

Factory tour is closed but one can still get ice cream cone so this is nice. I got change is brewing and child got strawberry cheesecake. I forgot my 51 cents for a pressed penny so I need to remember this next time though. The 40 min wait for ice cream was noted at beginning of trail of top 10 so I appreciated they knew a wait and posted wait times. Worth wait.

I was really excited to visit this factory and we even got lucky and scored an experimental tour of the facility on the day of our visit. The tour was very informative and we had ice cream samples as we went from one room to another. It goes without saying their ice cream was fantastic. I have many fond childhood memories associated with Ben and Jerry’s and it was great to finally see this place. The founders of the company do a lot of good for the world. It’s also funny to see the flavor graveyard. I would definitely recommend to check it out if you’re in Vermont!

We went on the factory tour to get a chance to see how the ice cream is made. It was a cheap tour for about a half hour long trip though history. It was pretty fun, ending with a secret flavor. Lots of ice cream available at the shop. It was really cool to check out the flavor graveyard and behind the scenes. Staff were super friendly, be ready for a ton of ice cream and cow puns!

The tour was great but make sure you book online in advance. It opens up 2 weeks before. The tour guide was informative and funny. You get some free samples and can ask questions etc. It isn't a long tour but just enough to keep small kids interested. There's also plenty of other places to visit while you're there like the flavour graveyard, a small kids play area, gift shop and scoop shop to get more ice cream 🍦 There are also pots of other places for photo opportunities. Really good value for a fun few hours out with the family.

Visiting Ben & Jerry's headquarters was a dream come true! The moment I stepped in, the sweet aroma of freshly churned ice cream filled the air, creating an instant feeling of happiness. The staff was incredibly friendly, sharing their passion for ice cream and making our tour not just informative but genuinely fun. Seeing the behind-the-scenes process of how they create their iconic flavors was fascinating and left me in awe of their creativity. And of course, the best part was the tasting session - a paradise of flavors that left my taste buds dancing. The experience was not just delicious but also heartwarming, knowing the company's commitment to sustainability and social causes. A must-visit for any ice cream lover!

The Ben & Jerry’s factory tour in Waterbury, Vermont offers a delightful experience for ice cream enthusiasts. Like me.The highlight of the tour is undoubtedly the flavor tasting. Visitors get to sample a variety of euphoric ice cream flavors, including some that haven’t been released yet. It’s a treat for the taste buds! The overall atmosphere at the factory is fantastic. Whether you’re exploring the Flavor Graveyard, enjoying the views of the Worcester Mountain range, or simply soaking in the ice cream vibes, it’s a fun and uplifting environment.Production IWhile the production process isn’t explicitly detailed during the tour (for safety reasons), visitors can still observe the factory floor from an observation gallery. Witnessing the magic behind the scenes adds to the experience.Locally Owned and Operated: Ben & Jerry’s remains true to its roots. The locally owned and operated Waterbury ice cream shop allows you to enjoy your favorite flavors just as Ben and Jerry intended back in 1978.Overall, if you’re a fan of ice cream and want to immerse yourself in the Ben & Jerry’s world, this tour is a must-do when visiting Vermont! 🍦🌟

What a great place to take your kids on tour.Quick tip: if tickets are sold out online, they do sell for same day earlier during the day. Tickets are $6 for adults and $1 for kids between 2-12zThey provide tasting of the flavor of the day. The production may or may not be on during the tour. For free sample if you are allergic to any ingredient ask for an alternative. There is free parking, playground for the kids and shop to buy souvenirs and ice cream flavors. On the way out don’t forget to visit the flavor graveyard

I didn’t do the tour, I went later in the day. It was still fun to see the graveyard and get some ice cream. The line was very long but honestly…. What else would you expect? It’s a tourist spot. THEY HAD A PENNY MACHINE! So that made it worth it for sure!

This is mostly a review on a new flavor that Ben and Jerry’s released. So recently Ben and Jerry’s discontinued my favorite flavor “Chocolate Peanut Buttery Swirl” and I was absolutely devastated!!! I ate that one for years!! However, their new flavor Chocolate Peanut Butter Split is a PERFECT combination of Chocolate, Peanut butter and banana. This is my new favorite flavor and I know this came out as an Exclusive flavor it won’t be available for long so I’ve been stocking up, but all I have to say is it’s AMAZING and Ben and Jerry’s need to seriously consider making this a permanent flavor. I never thought I’d get over the discontinuation of Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl until THIS flavor came out!!! Ben and Jerry you’ve outdone yourself. PLEASE KEEP CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SPLIT PERMANENTLY!! Please and thank you ❤️About the Factory: my family has a timeshare in Vermont and every summer since I was a kid we visit the Ben and Jerry’s factory in Waterbury and we have always enjoyed the tours with the best samples of new flavors they come out with. Due to COVID and I believe recent construction their tours haven’t been running for a while so I wasn’t able to take it when I was there the past couple summers, but visiting the Ben and Jerry’s factory has always been a big part of my childhood and my family and I always make sure we stop by every year for a treat together. We even had the great opportunity to meet Jerry one time at the factory during one of our visits! Will always be a big Ben and Jerry’s fan 🍦❤️

Went on a day mid-week where there were way less people. And in November. So it was much less packed than usual and it was still somewhat busy.Ice cream is excellent. We took the tour. Tour includes taste testing twice, including a scoop of ice cream at the end. You get to see the factory and the ice cream being made. They have an ice cream graveyard which is funny and interesting to see.

Fun place to bring family to see how ice cream is made and get to taste some very tasty ice cream. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream is my favorite. Plenty of parking and plenty of free EV charging stations also. As the attendant in entrance where is EV charging and make use of it. To buy ice cream there is a 30-40 minute long queue on busy days. If you have tour finish it and stand in line.

I loved the tour it was great! The movie clip was cool and inspiring. I loved seeing the factory and we had marshmallow sky samples I think that's my new favorite flavor 😋 I went to see the flavor graveyard it was fun reading the tombs. I went to the scoop shop afterward and got a small ice cream on a waffle cone. I picked a new flavor called, lights! caramel! action! I also took a pint of the blueberry sorbet to go. It was a fun experience and I'm glad I went and checked it out.

Awesome half hour tour. Great explanation of the history of Ben and Jerry’s. I wish more companies would have the same great philosophies if running a business like these guys do. Great experience. After the tour you get to sample one of their ice creams. Delicious. They need to figure out a better system to purchase ice cream. Standing in line for an hour in the cold is a bit chilly.

Yo dawg! I heard you like ice cream. So I bring you to Ben & Jerry’s factory, so you can eat ice cream on a cone while smelling ice cream on the ice cream factory tour to learn about ice cream and think about ice cream then get a free sample of their exclusive ice cream. On a more serious note. This place is popular (for a good reason) so reserving the factory tour online is highly recommended. However, even if the online tickets are all sold out, try your luck at the kiosk in person and you may still get in.

I have always loved Ben and Jerry's ice cream and getting a chance to visit their factory and eat the fresh ice cream was such a dream! It was totally worth taking the tour (priced at just $6).. we visited on a weekend but were able to purchase tickets on the spot. As part of the tour, you get to see a video of how Ben and Jerry's originated, see their factory and learn how the ice cream gets prepared and finally get to sample a flavour that they are working on. Our guide was funny and answered all our questions! We also purchased our favourite flavours of ice cream once we were done with the tour. They have a unique maple flavoured ice cream that is not available anywhere else! The flavour graveyard was hilarious and fun to visit. They have many other photo stops that are fun for kids and adults alike.

Went on a Friday afternoon and it was quite busy. Parking was easy as the staff directed us. Swung by the Flavor Graveyard. Tours are ticketed and on weekends, usually sold out so book ahead if you want the factory tour. We got two waffle cones ice creams and it totaled around $20. Absolutely delicious regardless! There's a very cool merch store with tons of shirts, mugs, ice cream coozies, and more! Highly recommend if you are in the area

The 30-minute factory tour was cool. Didn’t realize Ben & Jerry's was bought out by Unilever. First, there's a video you watch, then you see the ice cream production floor, and last is the sample room. The sample flavor wasn't great. It was mango ice cream. I love mango but that wasn't a good version. It had a faint favor of mango but it wasn't giving "wow, I want to eat that again". In fact, I threw it out after some licks.Didn’t like their rule that no phones or photography is allowed in the production floor viewing area. But it is what it is.I was never a fan of their ice cream but I tried like 6 flavors and only truly liked one, which is Americone dream. I love coffee ice theirs has coffee beans in it and it ruins the taste.Unless you really like Ben & Jerry's, it's a one-time thing. The staff is friendly and polite. And they have multiple outdoor seating. Nothing indoors which sucks if you want to visit and it's raining and windy.

I had a great time on the tour! This is Ben & Jerry’s smaller factory, so they only have one production line running, but it was still so interesting getting to learn about the process and what makes their company’s ice cream unique! The tour started with a quick “moo-vie” before we went to the mezzanine to observe the ice cream making process. From there we were brought back downstairs to the floor lab and were able to try a sample of a “moo-stery” flavor. Absolutely loved the puns and the depth of information. Our tour guide Lex was great! Definitely worth the price for tickets.

Not a fan of Ben and Jerry's politics but Unilever (Current owner), has been putting a stop to the political antics that hurt the bottom line. I've been coming to this factory since I was my sons age. It really is an incredible place for kids to come and bask in the wonder of it all.We were able to get some great pictures of our little guy and enjoyed watching him on the playground. We'll do the tour when he's a little older so he'll actually enjoy and remember it.Still enjoy coming here for the fun and wild colors and activities. It's a staple here in Waterbury and that hopefully will never change.

It is such a wonderful place. Everyone working seems to embody the same spirit of peace, love, and ice cream. Our day was made better because of the perfect "Ben and Jerry's" weather. Every picture outside has bright blue skies and fluffy white clouds against the beautiful background of Vermont's green hills. We wished the tour had been longer and that we could sample a wide variety of ice cream flavors, but we still had a wonderful time.

Buy your tickets in advance for the factory tour because it sells out before you get here. Luckily I did and had a lovely time. Funny tour guide with the corny jokes. They don't let you take pictures of the factory floor but you get to see it from the windows. There's an ice cream shop and they even have non-dairy options. The discontinued flavor graveyard was fun. And there was a playground for kids

We had a BLAST at the Ben and Jerry's factory experience! You start off with a short film about the history of the company, then get to see the factory in action. Unfortunately, there was emergency maintenance undergoing while we were on our tour, so we didn't get to see much. After the factory tour, you visit the Scoop Shop and try an unmarketed flavor! We tried Marshmallow Sky, which will be in stores later this year. So exciting! Make sure you take a trip to the Flavor Graveyard. We found this entertaining and there are some flavors I wish they'd bring back. Ben and Jerry's is a must when visiting Vermont!

Visiting the Ben & Jerry's Factory in Vermont was an experience that went beyond my sweetest fantasies. The tour itself was a delightful journey through the heart of one of the most iconic ice cream brands in the world. Seeing the ice cream-making process up close was fascinating, offering a unique glimpse into the craft and care that goes into every scoop. What made the tour even more special was the exclusive flavor available to those who embark on the factory adventure. The Maple Walnut, a flavor I had the pleasure of tasting, was simply out of this world. Its rich, creamy texture combined with the sweet, nutty flavors of maple and walnut captured the essence of Vermont in every bite.Throughout the tour, the generosity with samples was incredibly impressive. It's not every day that you get to indulge in such a variety of Ben & Jerry's flavors, each more delicious than the last. This abundance of samples allowed for a true exploration of their flavor repertoire, making the experience as enjoyable as it was memorable.Beyond the ice cream, the tour was infused with fun and education, making it a perfect outing for families, couples, or anyone looking to dive into the world of ice cream. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the guides added a personal touch that brought the factory to life.In conclusion, the Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Vermont. It's not just about the ice cream (which is fantastic); it's about celebrating a brand that has brought so much joy to so many people. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the wonders of Ben & Jerry's, this tour is an unforgettable journey into the sweet, indulgent world of ice cream.

Fun tour of Ben & Jerrys ice cream. You get to see all the insides and outs plus they give you a fun sample. Ours was Marshmallow Sky- BLUE!!!! Be sure to visit the Flavor Graveyard for fun flavors that didn't live too long. There’s also a playground where your kids can bug out and work off some sugar after eating ice cream.

I love Ben & Jerry's even more after visiting! I was born in Burlington, VT and we moved away to Western PA when I was 1. I haven't been back since and my mom took me on a trip for my 30th birthday 🥳 I love ice cream, and I knew we had to do the Ben & Jerry's tour while we were up here. It was AMAZING! Tickets aren't expensive, the tour is great, the gift shop is cute, they have a playground for kids, and the flavor graveyard is very funny, and of course the ice cream is delicious! Our tour guide Blair was funny. The tour was my favorite part, and I have more love for Ben & Jerry's after this experience ♥️ It's a wonderful experience and it's a must do if you are in Vermont.*Please note they only sell ice cream, no food.

I had an amazing time at the Ben and Jerry's factory! The staff was incredibly accommodating, the tour was awesome, and the tour guide was both amiable and very educational. Even though they're not super pet friendly, they do allow dogs outside the buildings and everywhere except the factory area. They greet you at the door, and the factory tours are inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about how ice cream is made. Don't forget to have fun and get some ice cream!

**Review for Ben & Jerry’s, Burlington, Vermont (5 stars)**Ben & Jerry’s in Burlington, Vermont, offers a fantastic and engaging tour of their plant that’s perfect for both kids and adults. The 10-15 minute tour is a great way to learn about the ice cream-making process in a fun and interactive manner. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience both educational and entertaining. The highlight for kids (and adults!) is undoubtedly the sample at the end of the tour. It’s a delicious way to wrap up the visit and adds an extra layer of excitement to the experience.Overall, the Ben & Jerry’s tour is a wonderful activity that’s both fun and informative. Highly recommended for families looking for a great way to spend an afternoon in Burlington.

If you come for the ice cream, it's a 5, there are so many flavors to choose from!! If you are a tourist and love tours it's a 4, maybe even a 3! It's an iconic must stop if you're passing through or in the nearby area! Learning the history of how Ben & Jerry came to be famous ice cream connoisseurs was the best part, it's all in pictures down the hallway! The stop is pretty much nothing more than an ice cream shop if you don't take the tour so I recommend getting tickets to do that if you can. It's a quick tiny little tour they give every 15 minutes with a video and a viewing from above the factory floor. I definitely didn't like the "no pictures allowed" aspect, we are tourists, we want our pictures! Our guide quickly described the process without taking a breath and then we got a quick "secret" tasting and shooed out! The gift shop is miniscule, not much selection and there's no real museum or anything else to see at the factory part. There's a nice playground, plenty of sitting areas and of course the graveyard at the top of the hill! We visited, toured and enjoyed a scoop in August 2024.

Stopped by for a tour while in the area, but they were sold out for the day. It seemed that everyone had the same idea. Please make reservations online to ensure a tour. We did, however, stay and view the Flavor Graveyard, Kids Play Area, and the Gift Shop. We were happy to snag a pint of ice cream from inside ($7), as the Scoop Shop line was extremely long and had like a 45-minute wait. We'd been out all day and just wanted ice cream...lolMy choice, Americone Dream, had cone pieces in it, so I was a happy camper... The staff were super friendly and helpful as well.Even without the tour, it was a great stop.

It was such a fun experience we really enjoyed the visit! I only wished we had more time inside the factory it felt a bit rushed. We bought our tickets online and everything went smoothly. The flavour graveyard is definitely a must if you drive by, it's free! Even without the factory visit there are plenty of things to do on site.

This was a fun experience and priced at 6 dollars, it is completely worth it. If you are in and around Stowe-Montpelier, come and visit. The sceneries from the museum is also amazing. We just booked tour on the spot on a Saturday. The samples they provide is almost the size of a kid scoop. We did get ice cream again at the store. The gift shop is somewhat expensive though.

I had a blast visiting Ben & Jerry's Factory in Vermont! I love the cool and creative design of this factory! The tour from start to finish took about a half hour. I was so impressed watching their video documenting the origination and evolution of Ben and Jerry's! Super impressive worldwide achievement! It was neat to see the packaging process, too! After seeing the factory, we were given a sample flavor of the day. It was definitely a great way to end the tour! I really enjoyed this mini adventure on our road trip to Stowe!

Fun little stop for fresh ice cream. We didn’t think it was necessary to do the tour. Others that did it said it really wasn’t worth it so we just got a couple of cones and explored around ourselves. It’s one of the places you just come to check it off the list. Nothing too exciting to see.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! It was a fun tour and all of the staff were very nice and knowledgeable. We were happy production was going on during our tour too! Getting ice cream here seemed a little pricier than it should be, but that's my only complaint.

A fun stop if you're near Burlington! It’s interesting to learn about the company and how the ice cream is made. The tour guides and staff are great, and the campus is beautiful. As someone with severe food allergies, I’m never comfortable eating from an ice cream parlor. But here, the staff were so clearly knowledgeable and careful that I got to enjoy my very own ice cream with flavors I’d never tried. Staff changed gloves and opened new ice cream containers. It was a very special (and delicious) experience for me. 🩷

Ben & Jerry muscled their way into the ice cream business and seemingly did that with a sense of fun and humor. You may not like their politics but you have to admit they make/promote good products and they did it smiling. The factory visit is a must. It’s a light tour given by quick witted employees well versed in cow jokes. Yes cow jokes… the kind of lame stuff dear old dad might say.Moo-ving on … The factory had been closed for the winter when we were there and they had a skeleton crew checking the machines , cleaning the machines, going over inventory, that kind of thing. No pics are allowed inside because, well I honestly don’t know why but they made out like “making ice cream in Vermont was akin to NORAD telecommunications”. I mean really, come on people it’s ice cream in Vermont not the Colonel’s Secret Chicken Recipe in Kentucky. But these employees have a great sense of humor. Just out side the factory is a graveyard for ice cream flavors that are no longer being sold. It’s quite clever, and worth the walk. The reason an ice cream might stop being made was interesting - sometimes public interest just wasn’t there and sometimes a particular ingredient might become too costly to mass produce - so it gets the graveyard even if it’s still popular. I really admire some of the clever things this company does and I equally admire how they grabbed the ice cream market and made it their own.Ben and Jerry are no longer involved in ice cream, they run an affiliated foundation which of many things has promoted defunding the police and facing “sins of the past”. I think a better goal would be to fund “anti obesity” projects in the US, given that their products have certainly played a role in “an ever growing America”.

What is there really to say, it’s Ben & Jerry’s, who does love them??? This is a super fun place to go to see the ice cream operation! They give a tour of the facility and even give out samples! On top of that you can go order like a regular ice cream shop but they offer a $60 ice cream called the VERMONSTER! This is basically a huge Sunday in a bucket. They also offer a cheaper mini Vermontster with 4 scoops of ice cream! Enjoy your visit! Definitely worth the visit!

It was a very interesting tour. We were here right after Memorial Day, so we didn't get to see everything in action, but the tour guide was really good. (Noah) Great personality! Nice size sample, and they have the ice cream shop outside for more options. The graveyard is interesting to look at, too. The only drawback was that the online description makes it seem like you have the option to try more flavors. It was fun, though.

A very fun and inexpensive hour/2 hours. The tour doesn't take long but it's informative and fun. They let you take pictures nearly everywhere and you get a free big taste at the end of the tour. The tour guides are wonderful. Then you can try flavors they only have there and walk up the flavor graveyard or the kids can play on the playground

If you're a fan of the brand, this tour's for you. Not an overly long tour, so kid and attention-friendly, and includes a film, view of the factory, and scoop sample of the flavor of the day. Gift shop has all the Ben and Jerry's merch you could possibly want, ice cream store has all their current flavors. Also has a playground for the kids, make your own tie dye, and a physical graveyard of their "buried" flavors. Do make reservations for the tour, and they are not free.

The factory tour was incredible. Very affordable for a family of 4. We drove in from Syracuse for a Vermont day trip and had a blast. The campus was so cool to see. The staff was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the company and the whole ice cream process. It was neat to see the behind the scenes of the operation even if they were in cleaning mode. The samples were delicious and the ice cream from the scoop shop just as tasty. The gift shop had something for everyone and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.

I came here and took the ice cream factory tour, I gotta say I left with a much greater love and appreciation for B&J ice cream as a revolutionary brand.Tour was super inspirational and fun. They had the flavor of the day sample with dairy free option for those who can’t have dairy. I had a great time checking out the flavor graveyard and playground. They have a shirt tie-dye station for 20$ and a gift shop that has adorable merch. I recommend making a day out of taking the tour, dyeing a shirt and of course eating more ice cream! I have so many favorite flavors but had to have the maple walnut which is only available Vermont. It was creamy, sweet and had chunks of salted / candy coated walnuts that added such a delicious crunch. Will come back if ever in Vermont again and of course Maple Walnut here I come!

The Green Mountain Coffee Café & Visitor Center, located at a train station, is currently closed. It's the only cafe operated by GMCR's parent company, Keurig Dr Pepper. The space is leased from Revitalizing Waterbury and shares the station with Amtrak, which has suspended its services since March. Visitors have praised the cafe for its educational displays about their products and impressive facility. The separate counter allows for quick coffee orders to go.

Burlington's Church Street Marketplace is a bustling pedestrian shopping district with beautiful historic buildings. This popular destination is home to buskers, street performers, and more, making it the perfect spot to spend a day or night in the city.
An extremely thriving area for shopping and food. The streets are clean and festive. My experience involved just window shopping and buying chocolates. Getting food and walking down to the lake. You can park at the university parking deck for a cheap cost than the other lots I think. Overall it was a great city center to visit.

One of the best places again in Burlington to take a leisure walk with family & friends. Must visit place, here there are multiple food outlets Mexican, American, Italian also there are multiple ice cream outlets like Ben & Jerry's. The best time to visit again is evening, make sure clothing is adequate as it does become pretty cold in the evening.

Church Street Marketplace is an open market place about three blocks long starting from Main Street. It is a street that was blocked and for pedestrians only. Church Street is lined up with shops and restaurants along with Burlington VT City Hall. We were there during the Festival of the Fools and we don't know why it's called it like that 😂 There were various street performers who came from all over the country to perform on that day. We had a great time, and it's a great experience.

Honestly, not everything it's cracked up to be and not for everyone! Lots of expensive stores and restaurants. Shops closed at random times. Lots of walking. Hard to find parking. But, hey, Ben & Jerrys is there!! Some cool art, sometimes entertainment, people watching is fun. Benches line the street so plenty of places to rest. It's a one and done kind of thing for me, personally.

5.14.22 If you enjoy people watching, this is the place. I'm not an attention getter so was a bit surprised by the number of freaks and people dressed in such ways that you just had to stare. Loved walking and shopping in this area. Great shops and large variety of places to eat and, or, get drinks

One of my favorite places to spend the day no matter of the season so many good restaurants, great place to people watch and spend the day. Very scenic area with a lot of nice shops as well.

It ain’t like the 80’s. While the actual street was fine, it’s the walk back to the car a block away through the significant amount of panhandlers and homeless that leaves you wondering. The current state of the famous Bove’s Italian Restaurant ….ouch.

Nice place, also a tad overstated. It's pretty, it's okay. Cute Street. A good 30min to 1 hour depending on the type of shopping you want to do.

Nice place. Good tap selection - I always appreciate when there's good cider on tap. Had the BLT with sweet potato fries. Delicious

Very cool. Historic town area with shopping, restaurants, bars, and a wide outdoor brick lined mall.

Its an amazing spot to visit. This street is very happening as you can find all different sorts of stores, places to eat and hangout with friends, buy goodies and lot more.

A perfect place to walk around during the summer. There's not a lot of shops, but they are quite unique. Plenty of parking space at a cheap price. Even if it's touristy, it's very clean and not too expensive. We had a great time eating on the terrace while drinking a cold beer. Live music was playing nearby which added to the great atmosphere.

Church street has plenty of restaurants, boutiques, choclatier, arts & craft stores. You can stroll from one end to another and loop alll the way to water front and back. It's near to University of Vermont campus, u can spend easily couple of hours on a bright sunny day.

Loved the vibe of the place. It was very difficult to find place in any of the restaurants, may be due to total solar eclipse. Would have loved the place to be a little more lively even later in the evening.

It's a very interesting street, small shops, nice to spend time. When we got hungry, I ate the world's worst smoke meat sandwich in a pizza shop.

Church Street Marketplace is a bustling hub of activity. The variety of shops and restaurants cater to all tastes, from upscale boutiques to casual eateries. It's a vibrant place, always buzzing with locals and tourists alike. However, during peak times, it can get a bit crowded, and finding parking can be a challenge. Despite this, the charming atmosphere, street performers, and diverse offerings make it a must-visit destination. It's a snapshot of the community, capturing the essence of the city's energy and creativity.

Great place to shop downtown Burlington. Most of the shops are local and independent but there are a few bigger chain stores. I like that the street is closed to any vehicle traffic other than a few places they cross. The other nice feature is the area being smoke free and no skateboarding or bike riding is permitted in the marketplace.

Used to love the Church Street area. I always felt safe while out and about by myself. I recently visited and used the parking garage .. what a nasty terrifying experience.. As soon as I exited my vehicle it was apparent that drug use is rampant . A quick look down to the lower level revealed a crowd of noisy , vagrant folks milling about. Sadly they were only feet from the pay station. NOPE ....went home

This is a great eclectic collection of mostly non-corporate locally owned shops and venues. We found some unique finds and interesting people along the way. The weather was perfect. There was an additional fair or shopping bizarre going on. We went during the third week of July.

Great place to visit. Multiple restaurants and ice cream shops, drinks out. There are so many great small shops from nic nacks, tea shops, leather, art to high-end clothing. You can spend hours here. Lovely small park next door with a fountain. On street paid parking with a few parking garages located close by. And at night, this place really comes alive. The majority of the crowd are younger adults due to UVT, Champlain College. Very friendly, great atmosphere! Located nearby is a small aquarium down towards the lake, boat tours, extensive shops, and restaurants within a short walk.
Kathleen H — Google review
It was nice, but maybe a tad overstated. We were there on a weekend, but not all of the businesses were open and there were some long waits for the sit down restaurants. Street parking was almost nightmare level, but the public parking ramp had plenty of room and was right next to the marketplace.

If you're looking for a great place to spend some quality time outdoors, Waterfront Park should be at the top of your list. With a boardwalk that leads out to the lake, sailing lessons and kayaking and canoe rentals available, this is one park you won't want to miss.
Great scenic spot! Nice walk around the park with some cool sights in the park, a pretty sweet skate park (which I'll absolutely be going back in the summer to hit up!), swinging benches to have a seat on, and of course all the water views of the whole shoreline! 😎👍

An awesome space to enjoy the sea, and appreciate the outdoors. There is wheelchair accessible parking conveniently located to the beach and docks. The socks are at a convenient angle so they should be okay to go down with assistance. It is important to be careful for ice or wet surfaces as it can be slippery. It is still a beautiful sight to see and enjoy from the pier. It was all wonderful to see and experience.

Great water views with a relaxed vibe. It has some nice biking paths and it was a pleasant walk from one end to the other. There were some swings and benches to relax in while watching the water. There is also a boathouse with restrooms, cruises, and some food options.

Incredible view of Lake Champlain. If you are ever visiting Burlington this is a MUST. If you want to take the experience to the next level, go during sunset. It sets across the lake over the mountains. Unbelievable place to get lost in thought, or quite the opposite, and meditate.

I lived by the waterfront for almost six months out of my life when I was homless, I tented there. It's beautiful and the waves from the lake are really nice at night. You can see the most glorious sunsets and beautiful full moons here, a perfect place to have a moment to yourself at night. My puppy experienced her first snow here, as a rescue husky. She adored it^^Its kinda busy during the day in the summer, but after the sun sets, its one of the best places to have some time for yourself. A good place to take a walk or go to the beaches in the summer-Make sure to only go on the beaches though!!! The rocks close to Echo have a lot of zebra mussels, so be careful.

Burlington Waterfront Park is an amazing spot to enjoy a variety of activities and the natural beauty of Lake Champlain. One of the highlights of visiting the park is the stunning sunset views in the evening, which create a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening. The park is spacious and well-maintained, offering plenty of room for playing sports such as football and volleyball, or simply chilling out with friends and family. The atmosphere at Burlington Waterfront Park is incredibly peaceful and clean, making it an ideal location for both active recreation and quiet reflection. Whether you’re looking to engage in some physical activity or just want to sit back and enjoy the serene environment, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

What a great place to walk! I visited Vermont in this past month and deeply enjoyed this park- it first offers a modern taste for those who don't enjoy the more woodsy-hikes, despite also offering a wonderful lake view and an extensive bike trail! By going up the bike trail you come to an open paved trail through the woodlands that extends many miles where you can even take side trails through the woods to offer more of a hike! This area provides all aspects of a park one might enjoy, and I highly reccomend it! 🏞️⛱️🌳🚲🚴🚴♀️

The fireworks and drone show at Waterfront park were truly amazing. There were a lot of food vendors, and they offered a wide variety of foods. In hindsight, I would have parked at UVM and got bussed in and out. They block all of the roads so the busses can get back and forth. It took us an hour or so just to get out of the city.

One of the best places to visit while in Burlington. The lake view is beautiful, can spend good quality time with family & friends. The cruise is a must when visiting Waterfront. Evening it gets pretty cold so make sure clothing is adequate. One can rent bicycles & enjoy the ride, the cycle track is about 13 miles one way so make sure you rent is early as it takes about 1.5-2hrs one way. On return one must try the Mapple ice cream one of the best ones available.Overall a must visit place with family & friends & lots of activities.

With convenient parking, public restrooms and access to the waterfront path this is an ideal location for those visiting Burlington. There's an active train rail right beside the parking lot which my children loved watching the trains. There's the Leahy center which seems to be a good spot for children (we didnt have time but watched a whole class of younger children go in). The path along Lake Champlain passes through this section so jumping on the trail for a walk, run or bike is easy and offers amazing views of the lake and the Adirondack Mountains in the background. With miles of trails, benches, skate parks, beaches and views this was an ideal location to spend a few hours with the family and a great spot for anyone to get in some exercise.

We visited the Waterfront park on our recent trip to Burlington to get amazing views of Lake Champlain. The park is built very well and the Echo Leahy centre is located in this park. There is ample parking space as well. There are swings and benches placed every few feet along the walking path, if you wish to rest. The lake itself was gorgeous, especially around sunset, which we were lucky enough to view. It gets very cold as you get close to the lake!!

While visiting family in the area, I scheduled a session at The Breathe Easy Salt Cave in Peru, NY. All I can say is “What an extraordinary experience and establishment”. I absolutely love this place and definitely will book another session next time I’m in town. The owners are friendly, professional and very informative about the therapeutic benefits of salt therapy and genuinely want to help others. Great Customer Service! My experience was amazing from the first moment of entering the salt cave through a grotto to the end of my session. The atmosphere here is very calming and welcoming. It’s so relaxing lounging in the zero gravity chairs, breathing in the salt air and listening to nature sounds while glazing up at the stars in the night sky. This was truly a treat for my body, mind and spirit. My sinus issues disappeared and my stress melted away. I walked away feeling rejuvenated. Kudos to the owners for creating this little piece of heaven. I highly recommend to everyone.

My wife and mother-in-law surprised me with a 45 minute session this evening. It was extremely relaxing after a long few weeks of moving and renovating our house. I have some respiratory problems (snoring, etc.) and felt much better after just one session. Another added benefit was just being able to relax with the Mrs. uninterrupted, surrounded by beautiful lights and peaceful music. The owners are very nice people and make sure you understand everything before entering the cave. I can definitely see us returning and will highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed a beautifully relaxing evening at the salt cave. We began with a bio detox session which was phenomenal. The bio detox room is so soothing with lovely decor and ambient light emitted from the salt domes. The BioMat provides a comfortable warmth throughout your core and the gentle sound of waves crashing promotes total relaxation. After the bio detox we were escorted into the salt cave itself. This place is really gorgeous! From the various textures of salt used to create the space to the lighting you can tell the owners have put their heart and soul into building this sanctuary. About half way through my cave session I realized I was able to breathe easier and more deeply than ever before. The zero gravity chair allows for you to recline and feel almost weightless. I felt so relaxed and my mind felt clear and calm. My husband was so relaxed he fell asleep! At the end of the session the feeling I was left with was similar to after a really good massage! This place is awesome! I am already planning a return visit later on this week.

I went today for the first time and it's an experience I can't even explain in words. It almost gave me this euphoric feeling? The chairs were absolutely unbelievable. It felt like I was floating in air! The music was SO relaxing. The staff were great at explaining how everything worked! It was just an overall great experience. I went for mental health reasons, and I can assure you I will be returning very soon .

Looks like the place may be up for Sale. No lights, lot has not been plowed, and a sign by the street says 'for sale or lease' . Always been wanting to go to one, got a brochure on it yesterday. Now I'll have to keep my eyes open for another one. Sad to see that COVID may have closed another business :(

Today was my first experience at the Adirondack Breather Easy Salt Cave, but it won't be the last. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing, and most folks seemed to take the opportunity to nap. In just one 45 minute session my lungs feel clearer. The receptionist was informative and pleasant as she took time to explain the benefits and origins of the Himalayan salt. Highly recommend that you try this out, whether you have respiratory issues or not, it will be a relaxing experience.
Sharon B — Google review
What an amazing, relaxing, calming, stress free, 45 minutes in your day. I highly recommend visiting. I have been twice and will definitely go again. The owners are wonderful people and everything about the salt cave is explained to you. It is beautiful inside, the chairs are great and the soft blanket they provide is so comfy.

This experience was like no other. So peaceful and relaxing. I went in with wheezing and came out clear. My hands started tingling five minutes into the session. Scenic canyon hosts activities from tours & cliff hikes to mountain biking & river rafting.
Awesome natural wonder! We stopped by in April so the attraction wasn’t fully open. We did the hike and it was amazing. Very cool how you can take a trail down onto the chasm and walk inside it.There seemed to be a lot more to do in season but just the hike itself was really cool.Definitely worth the trip!!

Loved the adventure! We visited this beautiful attraction on a weekend away. We did the adventure trail which was a fun, at times a little scary, adventure. Our guide Alex was outstanding. She was there to guide us through some of the more challenging parts of the adventure trail. My husband is 65 and I am 62 and we had no problem completing the course however we are both very active in our normal lives. The views are incredible. The boat float was fun and rim trail back from the boat float had beautiful views of the chasm. There are several choices of activities based on your comfort level at the chasm. Hope to be back again to do it all over!

Awesome,We drove for about 5 hours from New York City to see this marvelous geological formation. It is early May so there were not a lot of people.I'd recommend for you to come early, and bring some water. At this time (before Memorial day) many activities were not available but as the staff explained the waters are too cold and rough. The hike was easy although for some the steps could be a challenge. Almost all trails are covered with gravel and easy to walk.Kids friendly,No pets.Friendly and very helpful staff (now we know the difference between Glen and Chasm)We'd love to go back and try the boat ride and some of the rock climbing.Have fun and be safe!

We bought classic combo, it’s $49.99 per person. The whole park is great, beautiful views and well maintained. The working staffs are professional and nice. The rafting part is fun and with beautiful views, but waiting time for boarding is kind long, we wait like 20+ mins due to the short of rafting boats and staffs in that dayGood experience overall , nice place and worth to visit. But still, $50 per person kind bit expensive. But it’s in NY, guess everything gonna come with fees and not cheap.

What a beautiful experience. Amazing connection with nature. It's unbelievable when you think that this canyon is 500 million years old. The connection with nature is just amazing. Nice and well maintained place. The staff inside was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately we went off season so, we will definitely return to this place next supper to try the rafting and the via ferrata 😍 I highly recommend this place. At lest than 4 hours drive from Quebec City. And around one hour from Montreal.

This place is totally worth a visit if you are in the area. The sights are GORGEOUS. I went back in June 2021 with my friend and we went through the rock climbing trail. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I got stuck on the last crossing. It was a hot day and my energy was gone. I started having a bit of a panic attack about getting across and they 100% addressed it professionally. They calmed me down, helped me get across, and never made me feel self conscious despite me apologizing a few times. I would go again (maybe not the climbing trail but definitely the hike) and I made sure to track down a manager to let them know they have great guides. This place is a must see if you get the chance. The scenery is so beautiful.

So much fun!! There is a lot of stuff to do, whether you want to hike on land, go tubing in the water, or go over bridges in the air on the Adventure Trail. The guides are knowledgeable about the chasm and share a lot of interesting info. It's a great place to go for a weekend with family and friends and explore all the activities it has to offer. The cafe doesn't have a ton of options, so I recommend bringing snacks with you and enjoying local food options in the area.

The walk through the chasm is very cool. The yellow trail is easy and covered with wood chips. The orange trail to see the two dry chasms may be tricky for people who aren't so agile but is fun to do. We chose the classic package who h got us the hike and raft ride. We chose to raft instead of take tubes. Your feet will get soaked on the raft ride so you may want to take your shoes off and hold them during the ride. There's only one small set of rapids that everyone will love.

I got the premium package. They we were there the water was extremely calm so the white water rafting was more of a lazy pool. Beautiful sights and great guides. The adventure trail is a lot of fun even if you are a pro at rock climbing or hiking. Guide is always with you.

We have small children(under 8) and could only do the raft and trails. The trails were fun to hike through. The raft was a lot of fun going through the rapids and learning about the history. I highly suggest you go early on a hot day. We went at peak time(1pm) and waited 1.5 hours to get on the raft. Since we were camping at the campground, we could come back and use the trails. We went and hiked the rest of the trails. I highly recommend the orange trail. The kids loved it!

We had a nice time. I recommend going early to escape crowds if you plan on going on the raft. Some awesome sights to look at. There was a Cafe with some live music playing and a little gift shop there. We had to wear helmets for a small portion of our tour and boy did they smell funky. So did the life jackets PHEW... they should spray them with something 🤮 my shoes got completely submerged on the raft just so you know wear water shoes or something so you don't ruin your shoes!

We had a delightful time at the Chasm. We booked the mid tour which included the river walk and rafting . As it was mid week in September, we had very little wait time. I understand during the summer and on weekends it’s busier. Scenery was great. You need to be able to climb up and down stairs to do either the river walk or rafting. Footing can be tricky at times. We had no problem but others in our group found it more difficult. Guides were very informative and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.

Place closes at 4. It was flooded from winter ice melting does not making it look not that nice. Ample parking space and area. They say the trail is really beautiful

We did the adventure trail + tubing. It costed us 75$ per person. Adventure trail requires you to have proper footwear whereas in tubing/rafting you'll have to get your feet wet. So it's a lose-lose scenario. But I'd recommend both if you haven't done anything of that sort before ever. We went there on 3rd of July at around 1pm and there was no wait at all. The guides are super friendly and also super strict with the rules (esp with the hooking /unhooking in the adventure trail)

I brought my family of 4 here and we decided to take the brief tour in the chasm and a tube ride down the Ausable River through some rapids. The chasm is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy. I do wish the tour was a little more informative. It was empty when we went which was great because we could take out time taking photos. Can't wait to go again.
Michael S — Google review
Such a remarkable place to see! If you go, you need to take the "Yellow" trail.! That will bring you down into the chasm. (Those are the pics you see) It is a bit more of a strenuous hike, but it's well worth it if you have the ability to do it. Lots of stairs and a few steep inclines. We did not traverse the ropes course, only because we didn't have the time. But if and when we go back, it will be something I will try. The "Green" trail is a very easy trail that only walks along the top if the chasm. Not much to see, hence no pictures... The fee is $20 per person to walk any trails you want. They do give free ticket to Veterans like myself, as well as a discount on the rest of the party. *You must show a VA card or ID. The wait was about 20 minutes to stand on line to wait to buy a ticket....strange, I guess. But it gives you an opportunity to browse through the shop and find some cool trinkets to bring home.I would definitely say do not pass by without taking a look at this place. You will not regret the experience, but you will regret having never seen it for yourself!

Great natural site. Tour guides were friendly. I went in late September so it was not crowded. The price was more than I was happy to pay for admission into a park. There were other smaller interesting trails, the dry chasm trail was great! It's worth the visit for all levels and ages, unless, say you've climbed Denali etc lol
Daniel B — Google review
Beautiful, breathtaking views of the chasm and falls. The woods are equally beautiful walking through. Trails are easily marked and often, trail maps and informative signs about the fauna and wildlife can be found all over. The port-a-potty at entrance to woods is convient, especially so you don't have to rush all the way back to main building. The road-way crossings are the only parts that had me nervous with my 8 year old - cars still whip right through rather fast around the corners.

Beautiful place! We got the “Explorer package” which included the bridge walk and rafting (yellow trail).Worth the price - the hike is easy, the views are amazing, and the narrow bridge is a fun experience. There was an hour wait for the rafting, but it went pretty fast. For the way back, we opted for the hike instead of taking the shuttle (orange trail, then green) which was a great decision - pretty quick but beautiful hike through the forest!

I am very out of shape but one of the trails is easy, I had no problem. There are more difficult trails for the experienced hiker. I went in April, so there was no tubing or rafting happening. Beautiful area, got a lot of good pictures. We spent about 4 hours but you could easily spend the day. Highly recommended!

Awesome place. It is known as the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, Ausable Chasm is a sandstone gorge that offers incredible views, various hiking trails, and waterfalls. If you like hiking, trail walk, rafting, tubing adventurous mountain climbing with complete jungle like feeling plus camping, this is the ideal place. We as family loved it. It is worth spending time and money for this place.

We had the absolute best time at Ausable Chasm! We took the premium package ($75) that included admission, float tour and the adventure trail.Adventure trail: This was intense yet so much fun. Be ready to climb rope nets, walk on several tricky bridges (one with just a single line on which you need to balance) and maneuver the rocky wet ledges along the gorge. The double security harness made us feel very safe but the highlight had to be the friendly staff who gave amazing tips on how to navigate a tough bridge or ledge. After the adventure trail, you get to experience the river walk for a while with the prettiest views.Float tour: You can pick between a tube (individual) or a raft (shared with 8 others and a guide). The people who picked the tube had to wait in shorter queues and got more drenched. This ride is short, maybe 15 minutes and with only one major rapid.Shuttles helped us get from the end of the float tour back to the visitor centre.Parking: Several parking lots are available but they get full pretty fast. Going early in the day helped us avoid queues and secure a good parking spot. There was an owl show going on which was so interesting and we got to touch the owls as well. They have a cafe and washrooms at the visitor centre.

I bought the classic tour ticket and it was an amazing experience. I mean its so beautiful here. You get to see waterfalls, the river down below, close up view of the chasm, and you get to float down the river on a raft with a tour guide. Even though the walk is 1 mile, you could be spending up to 2 hours or more for pictures. I highly suggest going in the morning to beat the crowds later in the day. There are other more physical activities you can do, but I think the classic tour is suitable for everyone of all ages. If my 75 year old parents can walk it, you can too.

Beautiful landscapes. A spectacular display of ancient earth bound splendor. Take a walking stick, map, and set out on an adventure that only mother Earth can provide. Great for kids and a ton of activities when the season opens.

We only experienced the trails for half a day, and while it was slightly on the pricey side (approx 20$ for two adults, kids under 5 were free), the paths were extremely well maintained and pleasant. The green path is quite easy to walk, even with young kids. Our 4 year old could easily walk the yellow trail as well. The views were amazing. A very nice site overall.

My husband and I loved our experience at Ausable Chasm. It was a uniquely beautiful place, full of exploration and appreciation for nature. We did the Riverwalk and the river raft tour. Both tours were amazing, and our guides were educational, helpful and entertaining. Wear a good pair of sneakers and prepare for a lot of stair climbing. You will regret not visiting this place!

A must visit! We went there in December. It was cold but not icy. They were selling traction at the entrance. I wish they provided those for free for the trail. There is a gift shop at the entrance. You have to pay about 19 bucks for an entrance fee.Rainbow Falls is the main attraction. You can see this waterfall from the road. If you just want to see the waterfall then no need to buy a ticket. The view from the bridge is splendid. If you want to trek along the chasm, then pay the entrance fee and start the trek. You will first see the elephant head. After this you see the Rainbow Falls from the bridge. Then you go through a gate where they check your wrist bands. There are three trails. The yellow trail was closed as it goes very close to the river and there was high water. It was also damaged at spots and that is why they had closed it. If this was open then it would be a great trail to walk on. It has several small bridges. It did feel a bit dangerous though too. Probably not recommended for kids.We did the green trail. It goes almost parallel to the yellow trail but on a higher ground and feels much safer. It is also very beautiful with several viewing points along the way. There is also an orange trail. It goes through the woods mostly. You can do this on the way back.Be careful with your phone while taking pics. I was always scared of dropping it in the chasm. We also heard ice falling off from the rocks into the river. It was scary and fun at the same time.Starting July 4th weekend you can also do river tubing and rafting. We are definitely coming back then.It took us about 2 hrs to do the trek. We enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommend doing the trek, especially during winter. It is just beautiful. The drive is also beautiful. A must visit.

The place is nature's marvel. We were lucky to visit it in the first week of the season and after a very deligtful tour roamed the place with only a handfull of people around. I'd say the experience would be most enjoyable for kids over 8 since they can go on the boat in the end.

Beautiful scenery and fun times. We did adventure course which included crossing the river 5 times on suspension wires and bridges. It included cliff hanging using harnesses and carabiners on wires. Much more challenging than I imagined and it took 80 minutes to finish. Also waited 80 minutes once we got on line for tubing. Allow plenty of time. We got there at 1:30 and were the last ones to do tubing and finished around 5:30. We got soaked below waist doing tubing. We had sandals in a Waterproof bag to change into for tubing. I had my phone in hand during tubing to take photos and only got a few splashes. Consider bringing a waterproof bag for phone if worried since there are a few spots white water rapids during tubing.

Ausable Chasm is a stunning natural wonder in the Adirondacks, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The scenic trails offer breathtaking views, and activities like rafting, tubing, and walking along the riverside trail add an exciting touch and unforgettable experience. Facilities are well-maintained, and the staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended for a memorable outdoor adventure!

Great walk along the river & through the chasms. The suspension bridges added a little thrill! 😁 Our guide was terrific. We did the River Walk & all of the other trails- about 5 miles. We skipped the raft ride.Had a great time!

Beautiful frozen place in the winter. You can see the chasm and waterfall from the road. Need a ticket to go inside and hike. Plenty of parking available.

"Visiting Ausable Chasm was an unforgettable experience! From the breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs to the mesmerizing sound of the rushing waters below, every moment felt like a journey into nature's grandeur. The guided tour was informative, offering fascinating insights into the chasm's geological history and ecological significance. The trails were well-maintained, allowing for easy exploration of this natural wonder. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Ausable Chasm is a must-visit destination that promises to leave you in awe of the beauty of our planet."

This place is a hidden gem. Found it a few years back but it was raining and cold so we couldn't do the tours. It might not have been the open season even. Anyway, a friend and I just went and the staff was super nice and the Premium Tour is totally worth it. I will be going back again!

I missed taking the trails as I almost reached this place by closing time so looked at it from outside. But my friends told me this place is good to spend couple of hours on hiking/boating or any other activity. Definitely a must see place and I will revisit this place some other time.

If you're a lover of great outdoors, this place is easily the best place to hike and be wowed. Ausable is awesome. If you visit the Adirondacks and didn't go to Ausable Chasm, it would be like going to Paris without going up the Eifel Tower. What's the point? This place is iconic. They don't take reservations or give refunds for bad weather, so pick a sunny day, and go early. They open at 9am. We took the Explorer package ($54.95) which includes the Riverwalk and two suspension bridges. We were deep inside the Chasm, well worth the extra 5 bucks. The rafting was more like a lazy river experience. In retrospect, I would have worn my bathing suit and gone tubing. Nonetheless, it's all very cool. At the end, you can hop on the trolley back to parking lot. We chose to hike back on the dry Chasm trail. It took about 40 minutes, also incredibly beautiful. Bring bug spray.

Brace and pace yourself. Be smart about the trails. This attraction has rules and guidelines for a reason, follow them for your safety and others. Most importantly have fun like we did on our honeymoon!

Beautiful place. No guided tours in the winter. Though you can hike three different trails that are easy. Will come back in the summer for rafting and the adventure trail!

Gorgeous side trip if you are in the area. The falls is easily visible from the main road but it is really worth getting out of the car and enjoying the view from the bridge. The park has optional hikes (would do it next time I go to that place). You don’t need to pay anything to see the majestic view of the chasm.

What a great experience! It was wonderful to see the breathtaking views and the boat ride tour guide was entertaining as well. You can walk different trails, at different difficulty levels. Very beautiful scenery. They have a little shop and a room dedicated to Seneca Ray Stoddard's Adirondack images. Very cool.

Cool place. We only walked the trails here but it had a lot more to offer, tubing and rafting for examples. We walked the orange trail which takes you along the water and the green trail back. Self guided trail walk was $20pp.

Excellent experience! The Grand Canyon of the East! Hiked the rim (yellow) trail then down to the raft dock to finish the trip. There are higher adventure options such as rappelling and rock climbing. Fun for all ages and abilities!

Shelburne Farms is a charming working farm that serves as a non-profit organization offering various educational workshops and producing farm-to-table products. The estate, originally built by William Seward Webb and Lila Vanderbilt Webb in 1886, boasts of an English-style country manor surrounded by stunning lakefront views and working farm buildings inspired by European romanticism. Visitors can enjoy takeout meals from the on-site window or buy maple syrup and other snacks.
Great farm. They have a takeout window with food, cheese, coffee, snacks. Maple is available to buy. Don't forget to visit the bakery in the back barn.

A destination by itself, worth any detour if traveling through Vermont. Beautiful sights and great locally produced products to buy. The bread and cheese are definitely worth trying. You can definitely plan 3-4 hours there if you want to.Great to visit with kids, lots of stroller friendly trails (as long as your stroller is somewhat all terrain).

Our family visited in winter and it’s amazing! We rode the carriage, sled is not available because there’s not much snow, but still it was a great experience. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, they sell very good farm items in the shop.

Went during what I believe was off-season and didn’t have many attractions open but during season I can see it being a wonderful place to bring kids and go as a family or even with some friends. Even just going for a walk was nice and it was a fun bonus to see the horses.

The grounds are beautiful. I walked to the mansion and formal gardens. Surprising how many blooms even though it was the end of September. The Farm Barn was fun to see some animals up close and watch cheese being made. I stopped in the bakery and purchased a seeded baguette and an oatmeal cookie. Yummy!

Magnificent experience. There is plenty of parking in this remote area and the landscape is grand. There is a nice sized gift and food store at entrance with baked breads, cheeses, chocolates and sweets. Plenty of local photography cards as well. The walk to barn was a treat. There was a feeling of grazing through an English country side of an estate. We were happy to come across baby lamb! What a treat. They were darling! It is a beautiful property and I am grateful to have come here.

I'm so happy that we happened to stop by this farm on our way to Burlington and ended up joining a cheese-making tour. It was such an interesting and relaxing experience. We got to see the entire process of cheddar cheese production, from milking the cows to the final cheese preparation. We also had a cheese tasting with varieties of different aging. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable; they shared a lot about the production process, the historical buildings on the farm, and answered all our questions. The views of the lake and mountains from the farm are stunning. It’s great that even if you don’t join a tour, you can walk around the farm for free. We didn’t buy tickets in advance online but got them 15 minutes before the tour started at the shop near the entrance for $20. It’s definitely worth it!

The long trail has better signage. Walked 2 👟miles with a toddler to see 2x horses and 5 goats 🐐Bathroom facilities are non-existent. Unless you’re here for an event or enjoy long walking trails in the meadows, I’d give this one a miss.

Arrived later in the day to walk the trails and do a short driving tour of the grounds. The wholesale bakery is apparently open until 5:00 p.m. most days, and sometimes has smaller items available for private purchase, but we didn't arrive in time during our visit. The store at the front entrance has a good selection of cheese, syrups, merchandise, chocolates, cards, and some fresh vegetables. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

You could easily spend a whole day or two exploring this farm and participating in events. Lots of hands-on learning to do! Locals come and take a walk or run on the many trails or paths available. Milk a cow. Learn about maple syrup and cheddar cheese production. At the very least, eat or get some farm-made products to go! Very nice and helpful people!! Spoke with Ellie for a good while in the "cheese" barn about everything farm related. Lots of friendly faces.

This was an unexpected gem on our journey. We stopped because the wife wanted cheese, which they did sell in the store at the front. Then we discovered we could visit the animals. We had no idea the Barn was at one time the largest in the US. The Barn was really interesting, it was like a trip back to the 1800s. Kids got to milk a cow pet a calf, sheep and goats. If you're in the area I would carve out a few hours, get the kids out of the car and enjoy.

What a gorgeous farm!!! The land this farm maintains is just breathtaking! We visited for our first time about a half hour before closing and stopped at the store first. It had such a good variety of items - we picked out a couple t-shirts and some Vermont maple syrup. We drove down to the farm yard to see some animals with our toddler and it was just perfect. There were donkeys and goats right outside the barn that were full of life and so adorable. They had some baby goats and calves inside the barn. Next time we visit the area we plan to go on the tractor tour to see more of the gorgeous land. I highly recommend this farm to visit - they are such wonderful land owners. I can’t wait to visit again.

Shelburne Farms is a 1,400-acre working farm and nonprofit organization focused on sustainable agriculture. As a living classroom, it offers hands-on experiences in organic farming practices. One of the highlights is the cheddar cheese-making facility, where cheese is made from the milk of Brown Swiss cows. I highly recommend taking the tour, which runs from 11:00 AM to about 12:15 PM.

Beautifully maintained farm with kid friendly activities. People work there are friendly and we enjoyed our visit to the farm. We walked to the farm from the gate through a small trail in the weekday. There is also a cute little bakery inside the farm where they sell fresh pastries. At the entrance to the farm you will find a small shop/visitor center where they sell cheese.

An absolutely stunning place with phenomenal staff. The staff truly love what they are doing and it shows in all of their interactions. Everyone we talked to was so helpful and kind. Every interaction went above and beyond. The farm itself has about 10 miles of hiking trails, but no worries there is a shuttle that will take you to the Farm Barn which is the heart of all the action. It highlights not only the beautiful architecture and history, but teaches about sustainable farming and allows guests to get a close to all the action of a working farm. They have animal interactions, cheesemaking, woodworking, a bakery, and more.We made it out to the Coach Barn and Inn which live right on the edge of Lake Champlain. Both were stunning and highly recommend a visit to their formal gardens and an exploration of the first floor of the inn. You are transported back in time and the tranquility just takes you away.

Great place for a walk. Paths are wide and well kept. Saw goats. Cows, sheep and pigs. Visited the cheese making operation and the bakery. The tractor ride is fun and the walk is easy if you don't want to wait for the ride. No fees, just donations.

Highly recommend the Sun to Cheese tour! Was so cool to learn about the history of the farm and learn how the cheese is made. We even got to pet the calves and see the “cow parade” where the cows come in from the field to get milked. And of course, got to sample different kinds of cheeses so we knew what we wanted to buy at the farm store at the end of our tour! Be sure to stop at the gardens at the Inn! We could’ve spent hours there before the tour roaming the property and can’t wait to return.

this is a very historic home on the water. Not sure the year that it dates back to, but many many years ago. It has kept all of its character. The grounds are absolutely massive, and you have to walk from the parking lot to the inn, which is a mile and a half and it was raining when we did it. So not very pleasant. Very cute and educational especially for kids and adults watching them make cheese.

Great farm tour, would definitely recommend. Fun for adults and children. Stop by the bakery and pick up some rye bread, it was delicious. Our guide was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. The farm is beautiful and I loved seeing the animals, but the garden was my favorite.

I was fortunate to be able to dine here for breakfast recently and hope to return. The house itself is unreal and the food was incredible. We had the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes. Both the biscuits and pancakes were super fluffy. After breakfast we enjoyed a walk on the grounds. A lovely spot for a celebratory meal.

We absolutely loved our time at Shelburne Farms! Their children’s farm program is incredible. Thank you to Cat for arranging for our kids to help out with the animal chores, and thank you to Diane for being so wonderful with them! Mia also did an amazing job with the milking demonstration and spinning wool into yarn. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and so generous with their time. Their animals are very well cared for and the entire farm is clean and picturesque. We also bought lots of cheese - it’s delicious! This is a must-see destination during your visit to Vermont!!

Lots of different things to look at, modern art, dioramas, printing press, yarn art, antique toys and furniture and so much more, they also have shuttles to bring you from place to place. My wife and I chose to walk instead which was a good work out since it's fairly large. Definitely recommend that take a full day here if you want to see all the exhibits

There are not enough stars to show how amazing this place is! From the cute little store at the front with delicious cheese to the tractor ride, children’s FarmYard; everything was amazing! They have daily programs and many things to see. We did the story walk hike and it was great. If we ever visit the area again, we will definitely return and bring our walking shoes to hike the trails!

Beware that tractor shuttle only works on weekends now, we checked the website before and it didn’t warn that the service stopped during the week and now all visitors can only walk to explore the area. The surrounding pastures are grand so be prepared to be on your feet if you come with children/elderly. Otherwise, great education programs like milking the cows, meeting sheep and watching cheesemakers.

So much to do at Shelburne Farms! There's so many hiking trails. The views are gorgeous with the vast farmlands and lake views. The farm store has local items. The barn has many farm animals to check out. The inn has extremely beautiful interior with lots of antiques. The bakery has freshly baked breads that smells heavenly. So much to do !

What a stunningly beautiful place! And you can visit for free (or a parking donation, if you wish.) Loads of trails and you can visit the beautiful inn and flower terrace. I didn't get to the farm side but it all looks amazing! The shop is really fun, but no "real" food there, not like wrapped sandwiches or anything. They have coffee and cider donuts, plenty of cheese and bags of chips for sale. I think you can get a proper meal at the Inn, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Shelburne Farms is one of our favorite places to go to! You can enter for free or make a donation to the farm. Upon entering, you can either take a tractor ride to the farm or walk in. Throughout the day, they offer a variety of programs, including learning how to hand milk a cow, make a wool bracelet, take a walk with a sheep, and much more!

What a great experience there. We had a farm tour at 11 am which we rode a tram-like-carriage around the farm. They offer one tour a day. There are people walking around the farm too. The farm has a stunning view of beautiful Lake Champlain. It’s good for all ages, especially kids. The bakery was also very nice but there was no seating in the shop, you can sit outside for a nice view though. It’s a great place to clear your mind, whether it’s to enjoy the farm itself or the scenic running paths you may embark on, the lush green trees will fill your mind with a sense of calmness and tranquility.

Shelburne Museum is an exceptional 45-acre museum located 9 miles south of Burlington which features over 100,000 American folk and decorative art pieces. The collection comprises the priceless Americana collections of Electra Havemeyer Webb and her parents, totaling to around 150,000 objects. The vast array of folk art, decorative arts and more are exhibited in 39 historic buildings that were moved from various parts of New England for preservation purposes.
We stopped by on a day trip to Vermont while staying in the Adirondacks. We enjoyed all the buildings and its history. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything was interesting and I definitely reccomend stopping by. Enjoy lunch and coffee while you are there.

We visited here while on vacation. It was such an incredible experience. We had a group of eight, including two kids. We all had an amazing time wandering the grounds and exploring the exhibits. We were only there for a few hours, so we did not even get close to seeing everything. This is definitely on our list to return to when we go back to Vermont.

What an amazing museum!! It's absolutely incredible! If you can, stay the whole day because you'll need time to see everything! (Spent 5 hours and there are a few buildings we decided to cut off) More than 30 buildings to visit. I suggest beginning with the barn and carousel and train and boat, etc otherwise you might be to tired at the end of the day to enjoy them fully and they really are must see!

Great learning experience. You can definitely get your steps in as there are many exhibits. We especially enjoyed the interactive experience with the blacksmith and printer. We brought our lunch but there is a cafe on site. The grounds are well kept. Something for everyone.

Awesome spot to see all the local history! Can't wait to go back in the summer and really see all the sights in there better, but it was really cool to see it all lit up with the Christmas lights and displays they had in there this time of year! Very nice presentation with friendly and helpful staff too!

Wonderful experience! Every part of the Museum is its own exhibition by itself. One can spend hours in there. Some parts of the museum are really interactive, such as the Blacksmith and the Printer Shop. A huge memorabilia of American History. Tickets prices are above average, but it is worth it. The Museum organizes a lot of family activities and, in some circumstances, entrances are free. Enjoy!

This was our second time back. It was the reason for our vacation in Vermont. It is a large museum spread out on a sprawling campus. There are many buildings housing a variety of interesting items. There is everything from fine art to a working blacksmith. There is also a lighthouse, a train station, the Ticonderoga and a working and rideable carousel. Your pass is good for two days and if you want to see everything, you will need it. Truly a must see!

Vast, diverse collection across the many buildings and plenty of gardens and outdoor exhibits. Unless coming for one or two specializations definitely plan on using the 2 consecutive days your entry buys you. Varying knowledge levels across the docents, but perhaps a function of visiting on the often extended holiday weekend of July 3-4.

Wonderful place.. so much walking and exploring to be had! There’s a huge amount of history to take in, it’s truly incredible. It kinda really leaves you in awe of everything you see during your time here. My only wish is that more of the bigger building exhibits were able to take a stroller. My son is still too young to know not to touch stuff and keeping him in a stroller keeps him safe and the displays safer than having him run freely!
Maddie T — Google review
More than met our expectations. Well worth the entry fee. It did help that the weather was perfect. 72 and sunny. Such a fantastic art collection. Small, but impressive. The look back into another century was so much fun, and the gardens and grounds are so beautiful. Highly recommend.

So much to see, thank goodness the ticket is good for two consecutive days! Loved the Luigi Lucioni exhibit. Art for everyone. Historic buildings. Gardens. Circus exhibit of hand carved wooden figures should not be missed! Many carriages and sleighs, a blacksmith shop, a print shop, a schoolhouse, a tavern, a lighthouse, and a steamboat! Plenty to see for all ages.

Such a cool place. You really need a full day to see everything. Keep your receipt and you can go back the next day at no extra cost. Old buildings, sleighs, art, a working carousel, and beautiful grounds. Definitely worth a visit!

First- the staff and their working "team" culture is what really makes this place a 5 star. Walking around, you can tell the team got together and thought of many little things that add value to the visitor experience. The Shelburne Museum is wonderful and beyond anything you've seen. It's SO varied in what you will see!!! An entire ship sitting on the lawn! A real lighthouse perched in the middle of dry land. An old time steam railroad station and locomotive. An entire building full of antique toys. Another building full of art with paintings by Money and other famous artists. A general store from 1850. A huge round dairy barn - designed for maximum efficiency, but now used to show off a fleet of antique carriages. Don't forget to walk across a long covered bridge that goes across dry land- it was moved here so that you can appreciate it! Ride the carousel. See the beautiful varieties of Tiger lilies that surround the horseshoe shaped building which displays circus miniatures and posters. To do the whole place thoroughly it takes 2 days, but you can still have a great time in 1. Tickets are good for 2 days.

The entire grounds and exhibits were great! We had 3 1/2 hours, and we saw everything. We didn't get to spend much time in each building but got a taste of it all. You should allow more time! My favorites were the Ticonderoga and the train. The 6 rooms of Electra's Park Avenue apartment were like traveling back in time. Just imagining how people traveled and lived in those times was interesting. All of the docents were friendly and very knowledgeable. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious at the Weathervane Cafe.

Great open air museum. Such a beautiful set up and preservation of old buildings and steam boat. The only downside is the running rampant school children and the lack of adult supervision. Even though there were adults there. They did nothing to keep the children orderly. Running up and down the stairs and deck on the beautiful ship is totally unacceptable. I would recommend going after 1pm if you want an enjoyment visit.

The Shelburne Museum is one of those places you can spend an entire day walking through. A bastion of Americana among numerous buildings. The Ticonderoga was a highlight but the modern art section less so. There's even a reconstituted lighthouse. The furniture exhibit showcases amazing craftsmanship. Plenty to see and do, definitely recommend.

This is a hidden gem…at least to us. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our family of four (9 & 13 yo kids) loved all of the different exhibits and the setting. Step back in time as you walk through each building. There are lots of sights throughout the 40+ acre campus. It’s definitely worth the visit. Also free to active duty military and their families!!! Thank you for a wonderful time Shelburne Museum!!

This is well worth the $25 entry fee.We particularly liked that all the buildings were genuine old buildings, dismantled at their original locations and meticulously reconstructed here, to partly represent how an old town might have been.Seeing the architecture of different eras together was interesting. As was the various interior displayed we visited. These ranged from recreations of old stores to collections of artefacts and art from different periods. Including some contemporary work. The old buildings are set out in a spacious landscape of well tended lawns with numerous garden areas and there are informative signs to each one.The old paddle steamer is particularly interesting as you can wander through the engine room, staff quarters below deck, and the luxurious upper decks for the passengers. The little golf cart style vehicles that drive around is a great hop on hop off service to get around the various areas, especially if walking is an issue for you. That's a nice, practical touch. The only small complaint we had was that we discovered our entry fee was valid for two days only as we bought them. If this had been more evident in advance, on the leaflet we found or on the website, we could have given ourselves more time to enjoy the visit.

What a great place to visit and spend the day. Also, they have a shuttle to drive you around if you don't want to walk. Check out Circus Walk, which was very cool. Walking the Ticondaroga ship is like going back in time.

The admission to the Shelburne Museum is good for two days because you need plenty of time to truly visit all the buildings and get a good overall look at all there is to see.The family will all have something to do and see.Give yourself plenty of time to visit each building and listen to the guides tell you about what you will see.Bring water, a hat, comfortable shoes, and clothing as you will be doing quite a bit of walking. Visit the shops and grab a quick bite to eat at the cafe. You wont be disappointed.

Our group (mid-30s to early 50s) had a lot of fun here! The place is HUGE. We didn’t see it all, but our favorite spots were the Ticonderoga, the circus building and the apothecary. I wasn’t expecting to see such a wide array of items. We had a blast and will return again, for sure.VT residents receive a discounted rate for entry and I believe your tickets are good for two days!

Fascinating collection of buildings and structures including the Ticonderoga steamship! Lovely grounds and good descriptions of the collection. The guides were also very knowledgeable and interesting. Highly recommend. The ticket is good for 2 days. We were only available for one and didn't see everything.

A very amazing museum. One of the best I have been to. So much preserved history to see and learn about. The staff were some great people and very friendly and knowledgeable.

What an amazing venue!! I drove from Florida to enjoy an intimate show here at the Shelburne in VT. I believe there were only around 2,000 people. The ticket prices were so reasonable, and they let kids in for free!! It was wonderful to see so many families out enjoying Jason Mraz music. Everyone was delightful. 💞 I will definitely be coming back.I did rent an apartment just around the corner so I could walk to the concert, but there seemed to be adequate parking and plenty of space to enjoy the show wherever your feet landed. ☺️

An absolute GEM!! If you like history and randomness with art, you’re going to love it. I was shocked at how much there was to see. From Degas and Monets, to a miniature parade, an ancient hearse, and a 1920s preserved steam boat on land that you can fully explore, the recreation of the founder’s chic art apartment from NYC. And that’s what I could see in a day. Truly there’s SO much to see! Expect this to be a 2-day attraction. Don’t wait until your last day visiting.Oh and the gardens!!! Stunning!Everyone was super nice, and most buildings had great AC.It was just my husband and I and we both agreed it’s one of the best museums we’ve visited. If you’re in the fence, please give it a try!! Ask someone on staff to tell you a little about the space and the founder and you’ll be ready to wander around and learn.

The concept of an outdoor museum is amazing- especially in the summer! All gardesn were in bloom, and the sunshine and blue skies were an amazing backdrop for the great, interactive, and interesting displays. I felt as though I was transported back in time with each display, and I enjoyed walking the property at my own pace.

This is a great place. Lots and lots of walking. Mrs. Webb was quite a lady and someone I could see myself being friend with. She was also such a forward thinking lady. Because of her so much of the New England heritage has been preserved and we get to enjoy it today. They do have "trolleys" (golf carts) constantly running through the grounds that you can ride anywhere... we spent 5 hrs here and still did not see it all. We could have easily spent 7hrs here. This is an enjoyable place and I believe it is a great place for ALL ages. We had lunch at their cafeteria (restaurant) and it was good.My experience was the ladies in the gift shop we're not friendly. (I'll just leave that alone). Their gift shop prices were out of line and not as much "Shelburne Museum" items as you would expect - in fact, this stop was the only stop I didn't buy a souvenir from on our 9 day Vermont vacation. It's pricey and as I mentioned no "Shelburne Museum" specific items.

We came for their winter nights light show during the holidays! It was beautiful! Loved seeing their entire museum decorated in beautiful holiday lights. The steamboat was stunning with all the lights. It was nice to walk around and see all the lights. PLEASE add some lights in the parking field for night shows however- it was impossible to find our car in the pitch dark with a fully packed lot. There was no numbers or markings so when we left we were lost in a sea of cars in the pitch dark.

We spent hours wandering and could have enjoyed at least an hour more. Gorgeous museum, wonderful grounds. I'm in love with the Ticonderoga.

Such a unique and varied place. Should have planned for 2 days there there was so much to see. I read that Electra Havemeyer Webb collected pieces that were whimsical and would make people smile and I definitely felt that walking through her collections. I went in the fall and next time I go, I'll plan for spring so I can see thr gardens in full bloom. Definitely worth a visit..

This is an eclectic collection of buildings, impressionistic art, folk art, a steamship, printing equipment, looms, duck decoys, handkerchiefs, quilts. Your ticket is good for two days. A surprise around each corner.

There is a great deal to see here. I managed to see the locomotive, the train station, the Ticonderoga, the building with the circus procession, the Beach House and the carousel between 11 and 2:30. My husband saw those places plus the cabin containing antique VT firearms. One could return here again and again and still not see it all. There is a lot of ground to cover -- literally. I wish the walking paths were paved and I wish the parking lot was as well. I was wearing sturdy sandals, but sandals. The gritty sand kept getting in my toes and tiny pebbles got in my shoes, making walking uncomfortable. Walking with a walker, a cane, a stroller, or a wheelchair could be challenging. There are many excellent exhibits, and I feel like I only scratched the surface of what all there is to see and learn. If I lived nearer, I'd become a member and visit frequently. But I live about 350 mi away.

A friend and I drove 3 hours each way for winter light show. It was amazing. Included a real steamship all decorated, drones, dramatic music, a butterfly garden made of lights. Merry go round and a small cabin with a working model train. Had tomato bisque, hot chocolate, and wine in the Cafe. Very scenic ride on 74 past creeks, eagle lake, General stores. Went over the Ticonderoga bridge.

The museum has been, and continues to be, a family favorite for generations. There is something for every age group to enjoy. The buildings, steamboat, trains, and structures are all very well maintained. The art collection rivals larger metropolitan area museums. The food is always tasty and also affordable. Best of all, the guides and staff are both friendly and informative. It was an extra special treat to see the full solar eclipse from the grounds, along with thousands of others. A great new memory made possible by an old favorite: the Shelburne Museum.

This was a fantastic walk through art and history. It's a freestyle walk through, so you can pick the areas you would like to focus on. It brings together folk art, impressionism, local history, and historical context. The staff is lovely, helpful, and informative. We had a heat wave, and then it started pouring during our visit, and the staff were very accommodating.

Fantastic place! Every building held treasures and the winding rooms brought new treasures around each corner. Knowledgeable docents. Give yourself 4-5 hrs and we still missed some of the smaller buildings. Cafe was great for a refreshment and lunch. Beautifully maintained. A must-see! Exceeded my expectations. ❤️❤️❤️
